  1. Saw a sharp olive green ‘69 Chrysler 300 convertible this morning, rolling along top down on the last day of summer.
  2. Though upon further research, I think it may be a Henkel Kabine or an Isetta. Google turned up pics of Isettas with that window treatment also. I’m used to seeing Isettas with the sliding side windows instead.
  3. I think it’s a Messerschmitt which was similar to the Isetta
  4. I think the '60 Corvair promo was a 4dr...don't know if it was available as a kit.
  5. There was a beat up silver Speedster in my Phoenix neighborhood. Use to see it puttering around all the time. Pretty sure it was real, looked like it had 60+ years of wear and tear. For recent sightings, I saw a number of ‘tuner’ style Japanese sports cars/etc on the road an in parking lots the last few days in the Outer Banks of NC. Some slammed, some with cambered wheels, custom paint, giant wings. Acura NSX, 3 Mitsubishi 3000 GTs—incl a beige Spyder and a black RHD GTO, a couple Evos, a gray R32 Skyline GT-R, lots of Civics. Must have been some event going on. When I was in Myrtle Beach last week, I found out had been Mustang Week—-saw a bunch of sweet Mustangs of all eras on the way into town. Saw a white Ferrari Roma today, first I’d seen. Saw a minty gold ‘83 RX-7 on I-64 in VA (guessed it was an ‘83 because the plate said ‘FINE 83’. Also saw a couple nice 90s 993-era 911s in traffic. Saw a gorgeous white w/ turquoise interior '66 Eldorado convertible rolling top down in Murrell's Inlet SC... I did see a Bronco Outer Banks edition in that sweet green in, of all places, the Outer Banks (Corolla, to be specific). 2300 miles of driving over 9 days and 7 states, alas most of the freeway traffic that I saw was pretty boring.
  6. Visited the Wheels of Yesteryear car museum in Myrtle Beach. 100 cars from a man’s collection. Heavy on Mopars.
  7. Saw an Oscar Meyer Wienermobile today.
  8. Saw a bunch of nice Mustangs of all vintages coming into Myrtle Beach today. Apparently it was Mustang Week here. Alas, my GT is home in Cleveland. Drove my Caddy down for a week on the beach.
  9. Well, they didn't have a Valiant tool. Revell could have done it, though w/ their '62 Valiant 4dr.
  10. A short but very busy work week...got my fall vaccinations yesterday, feeling a but woozy from them still today...but happy only one more day at work then a week off......looking forward to disconnecting and getting in some quality beach time and an enjoyable road trip there and back..
  11. I saw one a few years ago, don’t know if it was an original or a tribute but was so striking.
  12. One thing I’ve wondered about with Pontiac in Canada in the 60s, I know the full size models (B-bodies) had Pontiac styling but Chevy engines and chassis, but were Pontiac midsize models like the Tempest, LeMans and GTO available? (In addition to the Beaumont which wasn’t a Pontiac, I believe).
  13. Those look like late 70s Granada/Monarch headlight clusters.
  14. There was a sharp yellow w/ black interior ‘64 Pontiac Parisienne convertible in Denver I used to see occasionally 20 years ago when I lived there.
  15. Probably '67-68 Mercury Cougars and '67-70 Mustangs, esp. the '69 Sports Roof and Mach 1. More recent would be the Foxbody Mustang (like my ‘87 GT). Grew up with Cougars and Mustangs.
  16. Fun...I did two concerts back to back in June-- a Friday night Robert Plant & Allison Krauss show in Toledo and the Rolling Stones here in Cleveland on Saturday at the Browns Stadium...I was beyond exhausted the Sunday after....at 54 I don't have the stamina I had at 35...
  17. Probably... I'm using Safari, I don't use Bitdefender. I think it's probably because their don't use SSL on their top page. It's http, instead of https and in Safari it says 'Not Secure' in the address bar before the URL.
  18. Their website loads fine for me, so I'd assume they are still in business. http://www.speedcityresin.com
  19. New release goodies from HLJ came yesterday.
  20. Canada did get it in ‘74, the US a year later.
  21. I don’t think I’ve seen a Bobcat in at least 40 years….my sister had a ‘76 Pinto Runabout. Got it new and it lasted through 4 years of college and a move from Ohio to Arizona and by 1980 was pretty worn out.
  22. The modern 2.3 Ecoboost would be a good swap for a Pinto.
  23. Maybe smooth for pavement or tractor drag racing ? j/k. Maybe missing treaded tires on those huge wheels?
  24. Or the new ZR1 eventually...
