Everything was underground at my previous house...they were putting in fiber last summer when I moved to another suburb. Love my new house on almost 2 acres, but some things aren't perfect.

A quiet day, working in my home office. After lunch noticed my internet was out. Rebooted the modem, nothing. Checking around, went outside to get the mail and noticed a cable hanging down and in the road. A tall truck must have snagged my internet cable. Called Spectrum, they will have someone out tomorrow. Ugh. Going to have limp along on my mobile hotspot. Slow.

They look nice from the eBay photos, look similar to Andrey Beredzony's one...I have one of those printed by Andy Lesiak and one of Andrey's Buick Sport Wagons of the same era I got from Diolex on eBay.

STEVE SCOTT ,A.KA . [ UNCERTAIN T ]
Rob Hall replied to bpletcher55's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've never understood the appeal of show rods or George Barris stuff...but I think a lot of that is generational...sort of 'you had to be there'... as a kid in the late 70s-80s I had no interest in show cars, just not my genre of interest. I was obsessively reading Road & Track, Motor Trend and Car and Driver. -

It's from before my time, but my understanding is it's a fairly famous show rod that's been hidden away for decades, so it's re-appearance will get attention. -

Parts for such a version were shown somewhere a while back (flat hood and '73 grille & headlight surrounds). We will see what comes... nothing officially announced. -

My Revell 007 '71 came today from Wes' Model Corner...looks good at first glance. Only builds one way as far as the wheels and decals. -
I had about 6-8 inches of snow over the weekend, but a couple days of freezing rain since then and rising to 50F tonight...so lots of slush and melting going on...

A plain base Mustang, that would be different. -
I wonder if Revell will do one w/o the 007 branding, with the side and hood stripes and Magnum 500 wheels, Ram Air, etc.

Though the ones from the recent AMT (MPC) '71s would probably work. The yellow box art '71 kit from a few years ago has the stripes IIRC. -

I'm curious about what the decals include..only the minimal ones like the 007 movie car had, or also the full Mach 1 stripes (which are similar to the Boss 351 stripes) ? it's hard to find images of '71 Mach 1s without the hood and side stripes. I did find this one, from an original brochure I think...I like the silver w/ red interior. -
Yeah, as far as I know they really aren't integrated at all..separate duct work, etc... 3 of the bedrooms and the finished attic are on the addition HVAC, the primary bedroom, home office, bathrooms and rest of the house are on the primary HVAC. No basement (i think there is an inaccessible crawlspace under the addition). Strange but it works.

Two thermostats... two A/C systems also. I had it all checked out before I moved in, ducts cleaned, etc. May need more insulation in places. The house is unusual, it is a 1950s vintage 1500 sq ft ranch that had a 1800 sq ft addition added in the 1990s by the previous owner. So the original part has it's own HVAC and the addition has it's own.

No talk about the Round2 1971 Dodge Demon ?
Rob Hall replied to gtx6970's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Not yet..I have 3 on preorder from them. -
My house has two furnaces and even if I keep both at 68, some rooms are warmer or colder than others. My office gets really warm as does the bathrooms, my bed room and hobby room each on the cooler side.

2025 dodge charger daytona production model
Rob Hall replied to michelle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
From my understanding, the new Charger will be available in ICE and EV versions. I suspect the ICE versions will have the Pentastar V6 for base and the Hurricane twin-turbo straight 6 for performance models (this is the engine that is replacing the Hemi in various Ram and Jeep models). Will be interesting to see what comes..
