  1. The Acadian Canso was Chevy II based, the Beaumont was Chevelle based (w/ a Pontiac dash).
  2. I've used Model Roundup, Spotlight Hobbies, Hobby Search, Hobby Link Japan, Auto World Store, and Diecast Models Warehouse for years w/ no problems. More recently used Wes' Model Corner and Burbank's House of Hobbies (through their eBay store). I've used Megahobby and Hobbylinc occasionally but they are hit-and-miss as far as selection and slow with backorders I've found.
  3. This 1:1 resembles the box art, even has the blue hubcaps.
  4. Went to the beach yesterday, and on the way home saw a Cybertruck for the first time in traffic...Ohio plate 'CYBRTRCK'. Hilarious looking, like a rolling dumpster from behind. Also saw a sharp clean black w/ red interior '87-90 Mustang GT convertible rolling top down. Saw a bright orange C8 Z-06 parked at a restaurant. At the beach I saw a modded, beat up early 90s Firebird w/ hole in the hood, chrome air cleaner sticking through, big wheels and tires. Saw a very clean turquoise '64 Ford Galaxie 2dr ht parked outside of a restaurant.
  5. I could see someone using the MPC bodies over the new Revell dirty bits to the get the better chassis, suspension, etc detail.
  6. I thought the round lenses might be for extra police lights, but I don't see any round light housings on the trees....maybe parts for off-road lights for a future off road version?
  7. After almost 3 decades in software development, I’ve seen all sorts of standards and procedures for production deployment. So many places have limited or no testing/qa environments and put things in production that may be buggy or poorly tested, even big Fortune 50 companies do it.
  8. Several third party integrations my company has are experiencing outages. Windows users in my company are getting BSODs trying to login. My team is fine, we are all on Macs. I'm on PTO today but reading messages in Slack from my team.
  9. Those look like typical Revell of Germany parts trees made to fit the flat boxes.
  10. I don't recall if previous versions of the Monogram '79 Camaro had 3 hoods? Been a long time since I've built one...IIRC, I built the one in the 90s w/ the yellow car on the box.
  11. Definitely up for one of the Blazers, the Shelby and another Charger.
  12. Canuck 3D has those grilles now, albeit for the MPC tooling...probably will work here also. https://wylde.ca/gm.html
  13. It's had at least 4 different releases w/ different box art, I think this was the first one.
  14. The AMT ‘57 T-Bird is ancient. This is a reissue of the ‘56 which is maybe 25 years old.
  15. IIRC, wasn't the kit missing the carburetor? I wish AMT would modify this tooling and do a '55...much cleaner looking.
  16. Yes, it dates to 1992. 'modern' tooling, over 30 years old.
  17. A few guys in the 'get rust bucket running and driving' space I find entertaining...usually watch their videos on my iPad before going to sleep at night... Pole Barn Garage Junkyard Digs Rust and Restorations Others I like in the 'used car flipper and rebuild' space are: Hoovies Garage (maybe the first channel I started subscribing to years ago) The Car Wizard (Hoovie's mechanic) Legit Streetcars Tavarish Watch JR Go In the road test and review space I like: The Smoking Tire Savage Geese Seen Through Glass Hagerty's various videos
  18. On Friday evening I saw a pickup towing a long sloped flatbed trailer with 3 minty looking mid 80s Land Cruisers (FJ60s) on it. Also saw a sharp red '65 Chevelle 2dr ht.
  19. Yes, for loose promos and loose buildups that I don’t have the boxes for, I use 500 count card boxes. Very sturdy.
  20. I did the same kind of thing in 2017, using PODs to move from Arizona to Ohio. I wrapped my built kits individually in tissue or tissue paper in their boxes and put the model boxes in moving boxes, usually 6-8 per box. Moved about 150 built and 1500 unbuilt, had no damage or issues. Did the same thing last year for a 25 mile move, but moved myself w/ Penke vans.
  21. 1978 was still the older style w/ round headlights and turn signals below. '79 changed the headlights to square and integrated the turn signals into the grille frame.
  22. I really don't get the appeal of the tacky Jeep accessories...I've driven Jeeps for 25 years, but the only accessories I've added are the practical--side step rails and Weathertech floor mats and cargo mat. I'm not into the silly appearance stuff...
  23. It's out there today...nothing surprising
  24. Mexico also had a '67 Valiant 2dr ht, when the US got only sedans. Hard to find pics of them, not sure if they had it after 1967.. note the roofline is similar to the 2dr sedan, not like the Dart ht.
  25. Yes, Im used to all the modern conveniences..my '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee and '19 Cadillac CT6 have all the modern goodies--the Cadillac has heated/cooled/massage seats.. I drive it the most. My restored '87 Mustang GT has nice cold AC and an aftermarket CD player...my other oldies, my Dad's '69 Mustang never had AC, ...and has a black vinyl interior an AM radio, and the '67 Cougar is even more basic..no power steering, drum brakes, 3spd manual.... when I get them eventually back on the road they would be dry day w/ cool weather (spring/fall) cars. Got my ‘87 Mustang out today to take a spin since it's my birthday. Still has a few things to get sorted, but that’s the nature of project cars. 65k miles. I still enjoy driving it today as I did when I was 20 in 1990...I drove this car all over in the 1990s--Ohio, Cape Cod, Chicago, around the thumb of Michigan (had it in Ann Arbor '94-97), the top of Pikes Peak (had it in Colorado '97-02), Cheyenne, Wyoming, Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico, etc. I've put about 150 miles on it since getting back from the restoration shop last November. My Cadillac CT6 has 56k miles, got it in March as a very clean CPO.
