I like the '59 grille the most of the '57-60 models, though the hood fit is dreadful (it looks like they were made that way with the huge gap? All the pics I've found have a gap)

Got the new Hasegawa '90 Nissan 300 ZX 2+2 from HLJ, an unbuilt extra AMT Chevy C1500 SS 454 from eBay, and a DDA Holden Sandman kit from an Australian online hobby shop. It's first Australian kit I've bought, very nice presentation in a fancy box made like a shoebox..

I've worked from home for 6 1/2 years full time. I couldn't imagine going back to a commute and a cubicle in the corporate grind. I get that certain types of jobs require people to be at a location in person, but for many occupations--such as mine--physically being in an office isn't necessary..I have my home office, big monitors, high speed internet. My company's physical office is 1000 miles away anyway, so commuting isn't practical..I was hired as a remote employee. My whole team is remote and WFH...a few live within 50 miles of me, we try and get together for a happy hour now and then and I fly to the corporate HQ a couple times a year.

So far, so good with USPS delivery at my new house. Been here almost 6 months. The mail lady either walks the packages down my long driveway or drives down. She even brings the letter mail to my door when there are packages. Leaves them in a USPS basket at the door under the overhang out of the weather.

Looks like the chrome trim is missing from the gauge cluster in the green one. Must have been painted over when it was repainted.

I'm sure with some trimming it can be made to work.. I've never tried the modern AMT Duster chassis under a vintage MPC Duster/Demon/Dart Sport, but I would think it would be feasible..

I've never seen the annual, so don't know what optional wheels it had or not. I have loads of wheels from other kits and the aftermarket, so I'm sure I'll find something interesting. I have a 3D printed supercharged slant 6 and a turbo slant 6 to do street machine/Pro Touring style versions. And a Hemi and steelies and dog dishes to do a phantom Hemi version.

Meh....they look shallow and don't look like they have any center cap lettering. There are many aftermarket sources for Cragar S/S wheels of different widths, so..

I built that kit when I was 7. Mine is molded in purple. Lindberg had a neat variety of 70s snap kits. Not very detailed, but fun to build as a kid.

Bottom line, who cares? It only matters to whom is doing the building. Seems like such a silly point for debate. I like building models..whether it's straight from a kit box, or kit bashed between multiple kits, or I use resin aftermarket parts or 3D printed parts/body, or I make custom parts from raw sprue, it's all modeling...

Kewl...I've thought about stuffing a Hellcat engine in one of the Tamiya GCs to do a retro Trackhawk.

Since it represents a customized TV show car, I figure there really isn't any 'correct' or 'incorrect'...

One thing interesting w/ the 3D printed resin kits is that, for example--there are multiple printing vendors--at least 4--currently offering the XJ Cherokee (all originating from Andrey Bezrondy's files, I believe) on FB and eBay...some ship quicker than others, some with higher quality than others...and if you have your own 3D printer and the skills and time, you can theoretically print your own since AB's files are available for purchase on cults3D and other sites. Lots of choices. Interesting times, and so much now available in the 3D space that will never be offered as a mainstream styrene kit or traditional resin kit. I've bought a number of 3D prints of a variety of subjects, esp. the 70s land yachts I love...got to find the time and motivation to build them, though.

Yes..I use very few stamps in a year (pay all my bills online), so I order them from the USPS website. Got a few sets of the neat pony car series last year.

One related car I’ve never seen in resin or 3D printed form is the ‘68-69 Mercury Cyclone GT fastback or Montego coupe. Would love to see those eventually.

That sounds right...I do recall seeing one advertised...maybe 15-20 years ago. The '63-66 generation of Dart is definitely a gap in scale form..

The difference w/ Round 2 is that they have a vast tooling bank to draw upon for reissues and modified reissues to pay for cloning and new tools. This Jo-Han is starting from nothing...will be interesting to see where they go. The 3D market is growing, definitely seems like one viable direction to go...lots of potential there.

I heard it explained at the Akron show, but don't recall...something about wood filaments for the bed decking, I think...looking forward to getting mine.

My '87 Mustang GT and my '69 Mustang are my long term project cars. I don't have the time, tools and skills to do the restoration work myself, but definitely can write checks to professionals to do that. The '87 was mostly finished last week (needs a few small things still done that I can probably do myself without ruining things), and the work on the '69 is just getting started after close to 30 years in the barn (my Dad bought it new, the year before I was born).

Anything they would do, though would have to be new tooling since the old tooling no longer exists. This is just the first item.

I recall the street machine version having a Super Bee hood decal.

I've bought a number of diecast, model kits, resin kits and parts, 3d printed etc from hobby shops/vendors in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Ukraine and Estonia--never had any issues, just long waits in some occasions. Same with Hong Kong and Japanese vendors. I guess I've just been lucky. The worst vendor issues I've had to deal with were vendors in the US.

I saw the display and the trailer at the Akron show recently, looking forward to see where they go with it...
