  1. I figure they will appear when they appear..whether it is December or Q1 of 2024...I preordered one of each, so I'll be pleasantly surprised when they appear at my door...
  2. I remember having a Sony Walkman in the 80s that had a 'Turbo Bass Boost' button. I think I've seen 'turbo' applied to multi blade shavers. I've even applied it to one of my dogs --Beardsley--a chi-terrier mix that somehow got the nickname Turbo Squid, which I later discovered is a 3D modeling website.
  3. Got another Australian kit—a DDA Holden Monaro GTS.
  4. A couple recent 1/24th diecasts—a Greenlight ‘80 Caprice and a DDA Holden Monaro GTS.
  5. That looks like the Wal-Mart box art from 2006.
  6. They weren't doing new tooling w/ CAD/CAM in the 90s? Still stuck in the 60s? That's crazy...
  7. That was the box art on the Nova from the 1985 reissue...I don't recall the midsize wording on the box...but that generation Nova was actually slightly bigger (longer wheelbase, width and overall length) than the downsized midsize '78-83 Malibu. 2016 was the last reissue of the Nova (Squad Rod version), and 2006 for the Cougar.
  8. Sharp build..I got one of these kits recently, and got the DDA Holden Monaro GTS 4dr today in the mail. Love seeing kits of Australian cars.
  9. Yeah, ‘73-74 body with a ‘68-72 front
  10. I'd assume it's due to the byzantine licensing demands and rules with modern F1..seems to be very little out there other than some pricey 1/43 diecast.
  11. Welcome and Hello also from Ohio (I'm in the Cleveland area).
  12. Yep. They had a few different versions back then but none were 100% stock.
  13. With the boxy fender flares and side pipes, I assume that is the old Revell tooling...I built one as a kid that built stockish looking as far as the hood and rear spoiler, but with the flares and side pipes. This is the one I built:
  14. The off-road capable sports cars are pretty cool, something different. Rumor is Ford is working on a Mustang Raptor.
  15. Maisto made a 1/24th diecast.
  16. I like the '59 grille the most of the '57-60 models, though the hood fit is dreadful (it looks like they were made that way with the huge gap? All the pics I've found have a gap)
  17. Got the new Hasegawa '90 Nissan 300 ZX 2+2 from HLJ, an unbuilt extra AMT Chevy C1500 SS 454 from eBay, and a DDA Holden Sandman kit from an Australian online hobby shop. It's first Australian kit I've bought, very nice presentation in a fancy box made like a shoebox..
  18. I've worked from home for 6 1/2 years full time. I couldn't imagine going back to a commute and a cubicle in the corporate grind. I get that certain types of jobs require people to be at a location in person, but for many occupations--such as mine--physically being in an office isn't necessary..I have my home office, big monitors, high speed internet. My company's physical office is 1000 miles away anyway, so commuting isn't practical..I was hired as a remote employee. My whole team is remote and WFH...a few live within 50 miles of me, we try and get together for a happy hour now and then and I fly to the corporate HQ a couple times a year.
  19. So far, so good with USPS delivery at my new house. Been here almost 6 months. The mail lady either walks the packages down my long driveway or drives down. She even brings the letter mail to my door when there are packages. Leaves them in a USPS basket at the door under the overhang out of the weather.
  20. Looks like the chrome trim is missing from the gauge cluster in the green one. Must have been painted over when it was repainted.
  21. Just saw this in my email from Hemmings today, lots of good reference photos of a mostly stock '60. https://www.hemmings.com/auction/1960-ford-f-100-stanley-wi-188623?utm_medium=email&utm_source=daily_marketplace
  22. I'm sure with some trimming it can be made to work.. I've never tried the modern AMT Duster chassis under a vintage MPC Duster/Demon/Dart Sport, but I would think it would be feasible..
  23. I've never seen the annual, so don't know what optional wheels it had or not. I have loads of wheels from other kits and the aftermarket, so I'm sure I'll find something interesting. I have a 3D printed supercharged slant 6 and a turbo slant 6 to do street machine/Pro Touring style versions. And a Hemi and steelies and dog dishes to do a phantom Hemi version.
  24. Meh....they look shallow and don't look like they have any center cap lettering. There are many aftermarket sources for Cragar S/S wheels of different widths, so..
  25. I built that kit when I was 7. Mine is molded in purple. Lindberg had a neat variety of 70s snap kits. Not very detailed, but fun to build as a kid.
