  1. It's definitely been an interesting season for the Broncos...I moved to Colorado in '97 and recall the two Super Bowl Championships then...lots of fun to be in an area w/ a winning team...been a lot of disapointment overall from them since Elway's retirement...
  2. The racing versions look good..didn't MPC do a race version of the Daytona back in the early '70s?
  3. Buick is in a tough spot in the US now in that they have to fill the mid-market gap between Chevy and Cadillac where Pontiac and Saturn also recently existed. Sort of like how Mercury was filler between Ford and Lincoln. The problem is how they can be distinctive without overlapping Chevy or Cadillac at each end too much. They also overlap GMC on the CUV side to a degree. For example, The '13 Malibu is also going to be on SWB Epsilon II like the Regal, and the '14 Impala will be on LWB Epsilon iI as is the LaCrosse and upcoming Caddy XTS.
  4. It's too bad SAAB hasn't been able to survive on their own...they had some interesting, quirky cars...back in the day my sister had a '91 900 Turbo coupe...I drove it a few times in the Boston area back then...fun car.
  5. nfl.com has them in kids' sizes, but it's too late now, it says they will ship after Dec 25th.
  6. It's a prop made for a TV ad, that's all...people are reading waaaaay to much into this.
  7. And IIRC some of the old AMT and MPC Corvette kits had both the soft top and hardtop....I'd like both for variety..
  8. I support my local hobby shop for supplies and some kits...but it's hard to beat the point-and-click convenience of buying kits online from reputable kit retailers...been doing it for over a decade now, nothing new...I remember back in the day mail ordering kits from 'paper' catalogs, same thing but online is easier and more efficient.
  9. I've seen it 3 times..first time streamed a Turkish version off the internet, then the UK DVD, then in a local theatre..saw it w/ my sister who is a 45+yr F1 fan and a Senna fan(atic)....we really enjoyed it. Plan to get the US Blu Ray version eventually once it becomes available.
  10. I had preordered from Model Roundup, got an email that they shipped it today...hopefully I'll have it soon.
  11. Yes! I'd love to see those two, especially the Auburn...always thought it was odd Monogram didn't do one, considering the Cord and Duesies they did in their Classics line back in the day...
  12. Exactly...buyer beware...if you buy a 'new' kit without doing your homework beforehand, it's your fault..especially in the modern era where so much information is online...
  13. My preorder shipped today, hopefully it will arrive before xmas...
  14. Those Hudsons had an interesting structure...interesting how the frame rails run on the outside of the rear wheel wells...
  15. Excellent documentary...bought the DVD a few months ago, saw it in the theatre a couple months back..though I wish they had included more on the '92-93 seasons like the '93 Donnington race. On a modeling level, I do want to build my 1:20th Senna Lotuses, McLarens, and Williams kits eventually...
  16. Nothing to be surprised about...it's a reissue of an old kit... I wouldn't have expected them to retool it.
  17. I built one stock back when they came out in the '80s...picked up another one when it was reissued in the '00s, haven't built that one yet, but am thinking of building a phantom Daytona convertible like I saw in a Mopar magazine recently. Have a couple of the Revell ones also, which are better, but I like the old MPCs as well.
  18. Interesting..the presence of the sunroof implies that they will do a civilian version...I'd like to see a stock R/T..haven't seen any listed yet on eBay.
  19. Looks good.
  20. I wonder when the diecast companies will do the new Charger in 1:24th/1:25th..stock and police versions..
  21. MCM, Scale Auto, Collectible Automobile, electronic subscriptions to the 4 Hemmings magazines, Automobile, Car & Driver, Road & Track. Once in while I pick up Muscle Car Review or Mopar Muscle at the grocery, and pick up Motor Trend Classic, Motorsport (UK), Car (UK), F1 Racing (UK) , Top Gear (UK) and Classic and Sportscar (UK) occasionally at the bookstore. Also subscribe to Rolling Stone and Premiere. Pick up Time and The Economist on occasion. I also subscribe to Dr Dobbs Journal, a computer programming magazine for my real-life vocation... In the coming years, I see myself switching to more electronic subscriptions...as I do a lot of reading on my laptop, phone, Kindle and iPad.
  22. Beautiful route...I've driven it on a fall foliage tour about 15 years ago when my sister lived in the Boston area and I was visiting...I miss the fall colors of the East and Midwest.
  23. I didn't notice they were down until this evening...had a busy day at work.
  24. Neat how that cover has 'CHEVROLET' spelled out on it...don't think I've seen one like that.
  25. Sometimes I've not noticed the copyright until after I've painted the chassis and assembled the kit.. Though with the '60s AMT kits that have promo-style writing on the chassis, I leave those as is because it's a cool detail...
