Cool...I'll have to look for that..I have the Greenlight SHO diecast, and it has issues..

The religious folk will probably be in church tomorrow wondering what happened. Some may be dissapointed that the rapture didn't happen.

I've always found the Jada stuff to be cheesy and out of scale..and their wheels to be too wide.

Ya, maybe in 50-100 million years or so the sun will burn out or go supernova, or the solar system will get swallowed up by a black hole..not worried in my lifetime.. (though I am concerned about a space-time continuum rift that could let in the Daleks..)

The problem w/ the ones in Shelby kits and such is they are the vintage small diameter style (15 inch)...the modern style ones like on the 'Eleanor' car from Gone in Sixty Seconds look to be 18-20 inch..Reliable Resin's look like they are the right size..

Oh, they will just say that the calculations were off and that it's going to be a bit later...what a bunch of nutjobs..was listening to a piece on NPR about them this morning when I went out for coffee..everything appears normal so far today...

Yeah, they could be filled..but they probably can't be seen once the kit is assembled.

There are protruding bulgy things on the firewall, the backside of the firewall is the front of the interior..remember, this is a platform-style kit interior, not a tub-style.

Don't know..it was up and down last weekend...may be a problem with their site host...

Neat build..I've thought about building something like this using the 318/360 from the '75 Dart.

Sharp build...like the mods...the t-tops look great.

The 'Super Charger' was the 1:25th MPC '74 Charger reissue from the '80s, molded in red. This 1:16th kit was issued as the 'Street Charger', two releases--one molded in black and one in red (in the 80s).I don't know if there was any differences between them...I have the red one, unbuilt. Has a stock interior, body is '73/74 style but w/ NASCAR style wide wheel well openings, and a '71 grille. Nicer than the Dukes Charger IMHO which had a crappy non-stock interior..

I like the Danbury and Franklin Mint diecasts..have a bunch of their '50s subjects... For great detail, I like Exotos also...I have a couple of their 1:18th '60s Lotus 49s..

Yes, I've collected diecast models longer than I've built styrene models...in a lot of different scales. I've always viewed styrene models, resin, diecast,promos, etc all as interesting aspects of the same automobile replica hobby.. besides, some subjects will never be available in styrene kit form, but only as a diecast. I don't get hung up on the built vs unbuilt aspect or diecast vs styrene, it's all the same to me...I like models and toys of cars, whether it's a 1:43rd Minichamps, 1:64th Matchbox/Hot Wheels/Tomica/Greenlight/M2/Johnny Lightning/Siku or a vintage Dinky, Corgi, Polistil, Playart, Spot-On, a 1:18th Auto Art diecast,a large scale Exoto F1 car, AMT 1:25th scale kit or promo, Revell 1:25h, Tamiya 1:20th or 1:24th, etc.... If it's a subject I'm interested in, I'm interested in having it regardless of scale or media..

Interesting...I read the issue and the facts that the tractor was diecast and a tractor never made a difference to me...didn't even think about those distinctions..models are models...now if it were a ship, tank or airplane then it would seem out of place, but wheeled motorized vehicles like tractors, semis, motorcycles, all seem to fit in the generic 'Model Cars' category... I didn't realize the Chevy huckster truck was a diecast either, thought it was a mod of one of the old MPC kits.

Lots of good stuff in this issue..I esp. liked the article on the Hubley '60s Ford kits.

Sharp build...I've long thought they should have used a '61 instead of a '58 in the 'Christine' movie..the '61 Fury front end is much more evil looking than the '58...a very scary design. The '61 Fury must have terrified small children back in the day.

Looking great...really like the inside and outside color schemes...

Sharp build...I remember those from the Big 80s also...I had a buddy in high school back then that had an '87, in a red like that...he wrecked it when it was only a couple weeks old, spun it messed up the rear end...spent a while in a local body shop.

Clean build..love those old Johans.

Hobby Depot in Tempe still carries MCM IIRC. That's where I bought it before subscribing last year.

I've seen it online for preorder around $50...I figure a hobby shop will probably mark it at $65 or so..
