  1. If it had been 1:25th, I would think the box would be a lot larger...
  2. I've got an Aoshima Midget II truck in my unbuilt collection. Neat little thingy.
  3. Yeah, since I have the AMT convertible, I won't hack one up...will wait for Revell to do one... it would be sweet if one of the resin casters did a Caprice or Impala 4dr ht. I have the resin Caprice coupe and Biscayne, I think R&R makes a wagon also. R
  4. Sounds like it's coming out in '10 sometime..haven't seen a specific month. I figure I'm good for 3 of 'em, one stock, one stock w/ Cragars or other period mags, and one as a basis for the MCW Biscayne conversion. I have the AMT '66 ht and conv and Modelhaus Caprice also, so that will make a nice little group in the display case eventually.
  5. I don't know about that, but they seem efficient and spacious in a small package. Not my cup of tea, but lots of buyers like small, efficient cars--I see plenty of Fits, Priuses, Yarises, Versas, xBs, etc in my daily commute..the Soul seems to be catching on as well.
  6. The Cube seems to be selling well in the US....I see 1/2 dozen or so every week.
  7. Aoshima, Fujimi and Tamiya have had a number of Kei-class cars over the years, models like the Honda Today, Diahatsu Copen, Suzuki Cappicino or Suzuki Wagon R. Check one of the Japanese retailers like Hobby Link Japan or Hobby Search for listings. For a definition of Kei cars, check this: Wikipedia Kei-car article
  8. Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing w/ one or more of mine. I've got 5 of the '80s issue Johan '70 kits and Modelhaus parts, plan to do '71 and '72 versions along w/ a Rally 350 (got the decals) and W-30 eventually. Good thing I held off on getting the Modelhaus convertible. Rob
  9. Umm, the Johan was a fastback 38 years ago. I'm looking forward to watching this build up....got 2 of them so far on preorder..
  10. I've never ordered from FP or MR..the lack of shopping carts on their websites turn me off...don't like having to type much to make an order. I like pointy-clicky. I've always had good luck w/ Model Express and Evers Toy Store, both have very efficient sites and great customer service (though Evers doesn't carry the Round 2 stuff (yet)).
  11. So everything off topic is now off topic? Even automotive related? I can't post a pic of my new car?
  12. Going front to back, it's a Dodvroletord Chalmarostang.
  13. True enough... maybe because my family wasn't native to the area, and that I spent my jr high and high school years in S. Florida, I never picked up an E. Ohio/W. Pa accent/dialect from my childhood there. When I'm back in the area, I really notice the Pittsburgh and E. Ohio/N. WV accents..
  14. Ditto for Model Express. $32.98. I'm a long time customer of them, great selection and all the new AMT, Revell, and Lindberg releases. Great, easy-to-use website and great customer service. http://www.modelexpress.net/
  15. Besides bad punctuation, the AF/X soap opera had plenty that was surreal with the tornadoes and spiders. Oddly enough, though, I never had a problem with an order from them 5 years ago or so...I bought quite a few decent parts and bodies from them.
  16. Another big question--curbside or what engine? Ford engine? Chevy engine? Mopar engine? Or something totally from left field...
  17. The Challmusaro is pretty slick!
  18. Yes. Collectible Automobile did a good article on the letter series years ago also. Too bad Moiebus wants to do a '55 instead of a '56...the '56 was the better looking of those 2 years, IMHO..the taillights and rear bumper were nicely integrated, the '55 lights just looked tacked on.
  19. There wasn't. The 300 letter series died out with the 300L in '65. Regular non-letter 300s continued through '71. The 300M came out in '99, stayed that through '04, then the 300C came out for '05. (there was a 300 version of the Cordoba in '79 also).
  20. Odd Chrysler never had a 300A. C-300 to 300B to 300C?
  21. I've dabbled in big rig kits, but really haven't built many. But I'd love to have this one..it's so dramatic. I haven't seen a 1:1 in person yet, though.
  22. I'm going to have to subscribe. Never had a problem finding it in Denver, haven't found a retail source for it in the Phoenix area.
  23. Hmmm...what's the scoop on the Senna JPS Lotus in pic #34? Is that the 1/20th Model Factory Hiro kit? Beautiful.
  24. I see the Ferrari California (top down) version pictured...is the top up version also going to be available? Or is the roof an optional part? With the RoG versions, it sounded like they were going to be two separate releases (odd).
  25. That's pretty cool...what kit did you start with? Did one of the Japanese companies make a Mitsubishi Galant Eterna?
