  2. I decided to work on making the hood on the custom STi. Cut out the scoop and carved the opening. Man, that is some thick plastic! http://yo What I'm shooting for. http:// Later-
  3. Martin, Thanks for the great comment. I also liked the dusting of red on the copper. Still not sure what I'm going to do about the wing on the blue one (soon to be orange). I've been looking at photos of wings and I'm not sure if I want to scratchbuild one. The work on the red one is progressing, although a bit slow. Got the chassis detailed and the wheels detailed and installed. http:// http:// Nothing special here. Going to start on the interior today. Later-
  4. I began the painting of the chassis today. Later-
  5. Nice save! I love the color of this one. It fits it perfectly. I believe that fuel injection set up is the same as what is on the Vette that I just got in a box of built ups. I'll have to check on that. Later-
  6. Wow! Nice work. I think you're doing just fine with your bodywork skills. I have one of these that was given me by someone at work and the roof and pillars have been damaged. I was wondering what to do with it. I'll be watching how you progress. I have quite a few different front clips that I will have to try out on mine for ideas. Later-
  7. That turned out to be a stunner! I have the newer release to build and would love to get a couple more. Yours looks fantastic in red. Later-
  8. I was actually thinking of doing it without a wing. I think it would look better. I know Nismo.stands for Nissan Motor sports but I felt that the wheel needed something and I had no other decals that would work. Later-
  9. Kenny, Here is the mangled package that the wheels came in. http:// Here is the wheels after painting. http:// http:// I'm not sure if I'll use this wing or not. It will take a bit of reshaping to make it work. Later-
  10. Wow! Those are in Great shape! Nice haul!! Later-
  11. Thanks a lot. It's been fun so far. The wheels are a aftermarket Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Skyline detail set. It comes with tires and wheels, steering wheel, a few other parts and Nismo decals. I picked up two sets a while back at the LHS on clearance for $4.50 each! I painted this set bronze today and put the Nismo.decals on them. I'll get a pic up tomorrow.of the package and the.wheels I painted. Later-
  12. I began the wet sanding on the red one this morning. http:// I also picked the tires and wheels for the custom one.The wheels will be painted a bronze color thati have on hand similar to the ones in the picture of the blue one in the last post. http:// http:// Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-
  13. Thanks Kenny. I didn't know the name of the color but I had seen it on a couple of Subarus and had it in mind when I tried to replicate it. The red one will be box stock. The blue one will probably be orange. I am looking for a C West or Revell Acura RSX custom hood for it similar to the one in the pic, if you know of anyone who has a spare. Later-
  14. I got the garbage sanded out and a few coats of clear sprayed. Now to let it dry. http:// http:// Later-
  15. Actually Steve, when I went to pick them up the guy gave them to me for free! Where did you get the hood for your LeMans? This one is missing the hood. Later-

  20. Thanks for the comment. I washed the body this morning and began spraying the clearcoat. Got a couple of good coats on the body and then promptly DROPPED it!! 22. I showed this to my wife and she said "That's just an accident waiting to happen." I can't understand why she doesn't appreciate it like I do. Later-
  23. One of the vendors that comes into my job called me Friday and said that he was at the Early Ford swap meet and show and came across a box of about 20-25 old built ups for $30 and asked if i was interested. He sent me a photo. I agreed to it. Now I can't wait to find out what all I got. Later-
