Very nice looking custom. I enjoyed scrolling through the pics to see how you made this. Nicely done. Great color choice too. I am working on a couple of 40's right now myself. One has a very similar chop. Later-

Very nice job. Great upgrades you made to the stock kit. I would also like to know where you got the grille and what color is the paint? Later-

Man, that is looking great! I have this same kit and someday I'll get on it. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the paintjob. Later- -
That is beautiful work you are doing. I love the paint job. I am currently working on a AMT 40 Sedan that I cut the top off of in the early 90's mated to the Lindberg Coupe fenders. Having a great time with it. Where did you source the tires and the steel wheels that you replaced? I am looking for a lower profile (than stock) wide whitewall tire with steel rims and beauty rings. Yours looks like what I need. Later-

Very nice work on this one. Love everything about it. Later-

Thanks. Now that you mention it I think I recognize them from the 40 Ford pickup kit. Great work on your build. Has a nice look. Later-

Looks nice. I'm curious though. What are the tires and wheels from in the first picture? The set that you didn't go with? Later-

I agree. It looks perfect to me. Love the color and paintwork along with the custom touches. Simply gorgeous! Later-

Great start. I love the 36 Fords. Your wheels look like they might be from the old issue of the 53 Ford pockup, given the color of the plastic. I'll keep an eye on this. Later-

Got some bench time in this evening. Got the beginnings of a winch made for the front bumper and a bit more of the bumper done. Still a bit to go before the bumper is ready to paint. Also got a small bit done on the interior. Still researching the type of suspension I will be doing. Later- -

Tonight's slow progress. I didn't take any time to build while my buddy was here. We just sat and enjoyed talking and listening to music. I managed to get this bit of progress done on the front bumper within the last hour. I'm going to try to add a foot step to each side of the bumper in the next spot under the turn signals. A little added detail, plus on a 1/1 it would be needed in order to stand on the bumper and work on the motor. Later- -

Thanks Diesel. I am not sure of what I am going with yet but I am thinking of air shocks. I need to do some thorough research in this area. I haven't looked at lifted suspensions in years. Been trying to look through photos on the inner tube this last week but haven't found much to be helpful. I may need to go old school and get some 4X4 magazines. As far as shortening the cab I think I'm gonna forego the extra work..... Later- -

I I got some bench time in yesterday. This is what the interior looked like when I received it. I spent some time installing the door pulls, cleaning up the seats and test fitting everything. Pretty basic. I may make a door post Guage set but probably won't be able to see much in here. I cleaned up the body moldings and removed the molded exhaust tips. I will either smooth and fill the exhaust cut outs or run aluminum tips out the cut outs. I also cut the front bumper away from the grille and began making a custom bumper out of some resin diamond plate and flat stock. I have a buddy coming over today for a bit of build time. I will post more photos after that. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later- -

I got the rear lower fenders on and the custom rocker panel moldings shortened and on. Nothing exciting yet. Looking to do custom front and rear bumpers next. I won't have another chance to work on it until Thursday or Friday. Will be doing research until then. I am looking for a set of instructions for this kit. If you can help me out that would be great! Great idea. I'll be watching this one. Who knows. I may be able to use some of your ideas on my build. Later- -
I don't celebrate it but I took the time off to build me a workbench in the house! This is monumental for me. My wife has always had a disliking for my hobby but, after 26 years, we finally found a hobby for her to enjoy. It's nice to have a dedicated area in the house where I don't have to put it away each time or work in the unheated garage. I'm a happy guy now. Here is a pic of what I was working on last night along with my Street Freak 67 GTX. Later-
