  1. Looking good everyone. For the couple who are having paint issues I hope it comes out alright. I have the turntable on playing some early Traffic and I'm back at the table. Working on getting the engine together along with putting the chassis and pan together. I've got to get the interior detail painted so that I can get it together. Anybody else have progress pictures? Later-
  2. Just so that everyone doesn't think that I'm farther along than I am my last photo was just a body and interior mock up on two loose wheels for my wife to get an idea of what it will look like. I still have a ways to go before it's up on its wheels. For now I'm back to the bench! Later-
  3. If I can get it to sit just like this I'll be happy. To bed for the night. Later-
  4. Just a question, but should it be cause for concern when my three day build looks as good, if not better, than ones I spend months on? Just askin'..... Later-
  5. Further progress: That's it for a bit. Time for dinner. Then I'll get the wheels on the chassis and see what comes next. Later-
  6. Not a Milk of Magnesia bottle. Way too small It was a perfume It says Bourjois on the bottom. It was a perfume made from the 20's to 1960 called "Evening in Paris" according to the World Wide Innertube. Well, time for a short break from the bench. Later-
  7. I'm on to painting the exhaust. Got the engine block painted Canary yellow and just coated the old decals with Future for safety's sake. If they don't come out good I'll scrap them. Interior is going to be Canary yellow and white. Shouldn't be hard to see this one in a crowd. Later-
  8. Good to finally see some pictures Sean. I really like the detail of that kit. It should go together quite easily. Later-
  9. Took a little break to work on sprinkler heads and found this little bottle buried in the yard. Later-
  10. Looking good Bruce. I went for a walk with the dog and my wife this morning. Then we tried to work on the sprinkler system. Been a busy day here. My 11 yr old nephew came by for an hour or so. I had him help me paint the brake rotors so that I wouldn't ignore him. I explained painting techniques to him. Then we sprayed all of the wasps in the barn and around the house. My daughter is due here in about 45 min to make cookies. Just keeping the weekend fun while building. Here is what it looks like now. Quite a bit of cap in the paint but I'm not worrying about it. Got the second coat of clear on. Let's see your progress guys. Later-
  11. Looking good Rob. I'm up to having the body and chassis painted and getting ready for the clearcoat. I'll finish assembling the wheels and brakes while the clear dries. Later-
  12. Painting in progress. Been working on the tires and wheels between paint coats. I'm using a parts box mix of front tires from, I believe the newer Charger kit and the rear from the 99 Chevy Silverado custom. Wheels are Revell customs from somewhere. Got the brake rotors in a trade a while back. Time to spray another coat. Later-
  13. I got mine all washed last night and this morning I have gotten my walk in and am ready to get after it. I have a few of the smaller pieces glued together in prep for paint. I'm excited. My one major hang up is going to be that my wife requested that I paint it in MM Sublime Green Enamel. Here we go! Later-
  14. Ok. It's official. My wife agreed to keep herself entertained for most of the weekend while I do this. It helps that I took her out tonight. We went record shopping and then to dinner. I also allowed her to pick out what kit I would build out of a select few that I knew would fit the criteria. So, here is what she picked out. Now yo figure out the paint color and some tires and wheels (I raided them years ago). Later-
  15. That is some beautiful work! The color really makes the chrome pop.Love the wheels and the stance. Later-
  16. Sean, Maybe we can swing some bench time together on this one. I could use it....and some beer. Later-
  17. I'm debating entering with a 37 Ford panel.I say debating because I mentioned it to my wife this morning and she said, and I quote: "Sounds like a good waste of time." So, I say count me in! I'm thinking a minimally modified lowered suspension from the 32 Ford, painted flat olive green with gloss black fenders and modernized artillery wheels. Later-
  18. I'm liking the exhaust outlets. I say Yes. Later-
  19. Looking good Sean. We are going to have to get together soon for a build day since our last two got hijacked (in a good way). I am making good progress on my 96 RX-7 and 66 El Camino. I'm staying on those two until finished. Later-
  20. I really like it. Gives me an idea of what to do with this. Later-
  21. That grille reminds me of the one I'm making for my 50 Ford Tudor. Great work on yours and I like that you didn't chop the top. Later-
  22. That looks great! Don't worry about the time it takes. They ALL take me way too long. It's the trip that's enjoyable. Later-
  23. Great body work on this one. I like the way you are making the taillight areas. Keep it up. Later-
  24. Wow! Beautiful work. Love the interior work you did. Later-
  25. I'd also love to see this one reissued so I can get a few for the shelf and bench. Later-
