  1. Beautiful build Doc. Where did you get the air cleaner? Later-
  2. Looks like you're off to a great start. I've never used Maskol before. Does it spray on? I've used rubber cement for the same effect. You should try spraying a light coat of Dulcoat on and then sprinkling baking soda on that before your base coat of brown. Gives it a bit of rust texture under the paint. Go lightly with this effect. It's easy to overdo. Keep it up. Later-
  3. Bruce What kit is this? I never knew that there was a 51 available. Yours looks great, as always. Keep it up. Later-
  4. I think you did an excellent job on this one. I really like the paint work. Thanks for explaining how you did it. I'll have to give it a try. It's nice to do a mild custom once in a while, especially when it turns out this nice. Later-
  5. Your work on the 53 is turning out fantastic. I like the stance and the engine looks great. I got a chance this last weekend to work on mine for a few hours. I'm finally getting the rear suspension scratch built. The ride height is getting ironed out. Keep up the great work on yours. Later-
  6. Ace Thanks for the great response. That was exactly what I was looking for and confirmed my suspicions. I guess I'll just pitch it. Later-
  7. Nice job on it. I don't see much that would be salvageable. Later-
  8. I received a 2 lb. can of Hexcel Epolite 2410 resin and a can of Hexcel Epolite 2183 hardener from a friend who had it. I was wondering if I could use it for casting parts. I believe he had it for building a home built airplane. All of the info I found on-line seems to agree with using it for building aircraft. Unfortunately my friend has passed away so I can't ask h about it. Does anyone know anything about it? If it is useable for casting parts, what would I use to make the molds? I've never done this before but would like to try. Thanks in advance for any help. Later-
  9. Another cheap bounce card is the white backside of a for sale sign. They are cheap, flexible and can be used for styrene sheet for scratch building. Later-
  10. I love the work that you've done on this. I wouldn't have figured the wheels would look good, but they actually fit the car quite well. Nice job. Later-
  11. Bruce That looks great. Excellent paint work. Where did you get the diamond plate for the bed? Got enough left to cover the top of my 67 GTX radiator? Later-
  12. That thing is cool! Your level of detail is outstanding. I am examining your rear suspension work. I am scratch building a custom rear suspension for my 53 Ford and I am trying to see what you have done. Could you post some more photos of the work you've done on yours? Keep it up. I love this one. Later-
  13. Actually I could use those parts if you'd be willing to trade them. I have a shortened 40 Ford sedan body that I want to build but have nothing but the body. That is exactly what I was looking for. What would you want for it????? Later-
  14. Nice work you are doing there. It's good to see that you are delving into new territory by customizing it. Adding those custom fronts and rears takes a lot of putty and sanding. I like that you decided to make your 61 a convertible. I always thought about building a 61 and adding the roof from the 60 on it. Keep at it and I'll be watching. BTW- How's the finger doing? Remember, it's not customizing till you draw blood. Later-
  15. I like this one very much. It gives me some ideas for the glue bombs I have been toting around for years. I especially like the detail painting on the wheels. It gives them a whole new look. Any tips on how you did it and what color you used on them? Later-
  16. That is a beautiful build if a great kit. Love the 50's color. Thanks for sharing. Later-
  17. Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I'll be looking for the parts from the M8 when I get around to it. Later-
  18. Nice looking ride. Perfectly weathered. Where did the tires and wheels come from? Later-
  19. Other than the GT and GT 40 did Ford ever build a rear mounted engine? If so, what kit has it? I have been thinking about this and can't recall any. I want to do a mid mounted two seat Fox Mustang that Steve Stanford drew. The kit would have to be 1/24. Later-
  20. Bruce Nice to see you back around these parts. Your El Camino turned out great. I love the color and the custom wheels. Keep in touch and I'll stop by soon to show you my progress. PM me with your phone number so I can call you beforehand I head that way. Later-
  21. Thanks for the info. I'll be looking forward to the photos. Later- Thanks for the info. I'll be looking forward to the photos. Later-
  22. Looking cool so far. What all comes in the VV kit besides the grille and diffuser? Got any photos of the diffuser? How much does the VV kit cost? Lastly, how is the quality? I'll be watching this build closely. Later-
  23. Very nice color combo and stance. Great job you did. Thanks for sharing. Later-
  24. Bryan- This one looks great. You should finish it up and then take some photos outside in the sunlight. It looks like it would sparkle very nicely. Fine work. Later-
