  1. Those are some great looking projects. I've found the same problem with projects that drag on for too long. By the time I get back to some, my plans have changed. I'm having to focus on only two projects at one time now in my old age. My problem now is figuring out which two. I'll keep an eye on these. I have a started RSX that I would like to get back to soon and I just recently picked up a couple of someone else's started Honda wagon and Toyota Land Cruiser (I think). Can't wait to tear into those. Later-
  2. SCORE!!! Gotta love it when it works out. Can't wait to watch this come together. Later-
  3. Mike Your detail work on this is phenomenal. I am in awe of how each piece is just simplicity in scratch building techniques but they turn out to be so highly detailed looking. I love the work on the steering wheel especially. Great job. Later-
  4. Sure! I don't see anything but a white screen and some text. Got me all curious now. Lol Later-
  5. Definitely go with flat earth tone colors. As far as the canon idea, if you made small portholes in the sides behind the doors you would only need to have the very end of the canon sticking out. Should be enough room between the body and interior bucket to do that. Besides, what's a pirate ship without canons? Prepare to be broadsided!! Later-
  6. Slant What color of flocking are you looking for? I have a small variety of colors. Later-
  7. I sent an original Bandag Bandit tire to Alan at Ma's Resin a few years ago and he cast me some replacements for cheap. They actually said Bandag Bandit on the sidewall. Yours may be different. Not sure if he kept a mold of mine for future use, but you could check with him. Later-
  8. Nice looking Cobra. Sure wish I knew what color of paint that was. I assume you bought it already painted? Later-
  9. I had that kit a few years back, but sold it. Now I see I should have built it. That's a cool looking BMW. Later-
  10. Cool little car. Looks like you still have room behind the front tires for the fender well exhaust dumps. My LHS has a few 1/32 scale cars (73 Cougar and a 60's Barracuda) for $5. I may have to pick them up to do some drag quick builds. Later-
  11. Man, that is a cool looking build. What a great idea for a combination . Too bad they. Never built these in 1:1. The paint and wheels make the build. Great job. Now box it up and mail it to me please. Later-
  12. Great looking job. Those Boyd's kits were some nice kits with great parts box pieces. Later-
  13. Wow! You'd have to be insane not to love this build. What a great idea a d the colors are perfect. Later-
  14. Nice! Is this a resin body or did you convert it? Great job on it. Later-
  15. Thanks for the reply. That's what I finally figured out. Later-
  16. After looking this morning, it appears to mean that there is nothing new since last logging into that sub category??? Later-
  17. What is the blue balloon with quote marks next to each sub topic for? I accidentally clicked on one next to the trade section and now it isn't blue anymore. I can't get it to change back and I'm not sure what it changed. Later-
  18. I'll try to get them posted sometime this week after work. Later-
  19. Nice build of an interesting concept car. Great job opening the doors. I got to see this car at the 86 World's Fair in Vancouver. Sure got the blood flowing in my 17 year old heart at the time. I had this kit back in 89. I started it but never finished it. Not sure what ever happened to that kit. I do remember the poor fit of the dash. You made it look great. Later-
  20. I am currently working on the 55 300 to convert it to Zocchi's 55 (or 56?) pastel blue and white Windsor from the 90's. I got some of the body molding done and all of the shaving done. Gotta start customizing the tail fins next and build a custom grille. maybe some photos soon. Later-
  21. Or a 67! That would be my first choice. Later-
  22. You're right. This isn't my favorite subject, but it takes quite a bit of effort to get one to look this damaged. You've done some excellent detailing on this. For that, I say, great job. The effort shows. Later-
  23. Found the name of the magnets. They are called Rare Earth magnets. They make many sizes and strengths. I have two types. They are about 1/16 and 3/32 of an inch. They are strong enough to spray a coat of paint over and still work great. Best of all they were about 5 and 15 cents each at my LHS. Later-
  24. Billy- Looks great. Nice work on it. If you are going to build another, I have a suggestion on the tailgate problem. I assume that your problem was that it wouldn't stay closed. Get yourself some tiny magnets (Dr Cranky knows the name of them.) I bought some and they work great. Drill a small hole in each end of the tailgate and a corresponding hole in the wall of the bed to glue the magnets flush. They have enough strength to hold it shut when you want it but you can still pull it open to display it with the tailgate down. I mounted ones in the engine compartment of my 66 Beetle to hold the hood in place for display and I can remove the hood to show the engine. This way I didn't have to make a hinge and the hood stays in place when I want it closed up. Again, nice job. Can't wait to see the next one. Later-
  25. Doc Where did you get the air cleaner? Later-
