  1. Looking great. I'm watching this one. Later-
  2. True story- I was coming home on the highway one day and was doing "a bit" over the speed limit. A State Trooper pulled me over and coming up to the window he asked "You want to tell me how fast you were going?" My answer was "No. That's your job. "He looked at me and said "Excuse me?!" I said "Well, Sir, my Dad and I used to play this game and I learned never to admit to more than he knew about." He agreed and let me off! BTW I was doing 82 in a 60 and he had only clocked me at 71. True story. Later-
  3. Bob and his BEAUTIFUL, HOT wife are snuggling on the couch one night. She asks Bob- "Do you love me?" Bob says "Sure I love you honey. You're the light of my life, the only woman for me." She smiles sweetly, then asks him "Would you still love me if I was fat?" Bob replies "Sure I'd still love you honey...........and I'd miss you too." Later-
  4. Bob comes home in the wee hours of the morning on Sunday from drinking all weekend for the fourth weekend in a row. His new bride had had enough of it. She left a note on the fridge. "This isn't working! I've gone to my mothers." Bob opens the fridge. "Hmm. Light's on- beer's cold." Later-
  5. This is the fix I was talking about. The top of the door panel needed filled in. It took about a minute to do with scrap. Once the glue dries thoroughly I can trim and sand it to shape. Then I can put the wire on it after paint. Got to do the passenger door now. Later-
  6. Well, I got some progress made one this one amongst sneezing and wiping my nose. I got the driver's side chrome on to match the passenger side. It's not as pretty but it'll work. I did some more work on fitting the rear bumper but it is fighting me. I had to build up the lower part of the taillights and that is in the first stage. Gonna take quite a bit of work there. To help save my sanity I worked on something simple. I began constructing the interior door panels. First I removed all of the molding. Then, using the only two photos I have of the interior I made my best guess. Here is one of the photos from the mag article. Here is what I have so far. After I primer and paint these I will add the chrome accents using thin wire. Now that I look closer at it the top piece should go all the way to the top of the door. The upper chrome accent is in the center of the light blue section. Should be an easy fix by making another piece ti glue above it and the chrime accent will go over the dividing line. I'll fix thar in the morning. Once I get the rear bumper and fenders ironed out I'll shoot some photos of that. Thanks for tuning in. Later-
  7. I love the color and the wheels. Goes nicely together. Great work on rhe BMF. Later-
  8. I like it a lot myself. What are the wheel centers from? They look like Turbines (not sure that's the correct name) from the DOH kit. Great idea on them, whatever they are. Later-
  9. What if you removed the lower body line where it meets with the 57 chrome spear and curve the lower body line to match the 57 chrome at the rear of the rear wheel well? Hope the explanation made sense. Now that I look at it again, this may only look good if you change the rear wheel well to one similar to a 57 Chevy. Later-
  10. Nice work on this one. I like the dually idea. Why don't you make your own headers out of solder? Then you can get exactly what you want and they are easy to make. Later-
  11. Looks done to me! Lol. At least that's how mine look once I stop working on them and move on to the next. All kidding aside, the mock up is looking good and I love the 1:1. Great choice. Later-
  12. It is a small world. Got a few great builders here in this area that frequnt the site here and that I have had the priveledge to meet. I've got one close friend that I visit quite a bit who is an excellent builder and a wonderful resource of knowledge (and parts). His name is Mike Flynn. He is a very generous and helpful guy. Someday soon I hope that you guys will get to see some of his work. Later-
  13. I think it looks worlds better, especially how chopping the top improved the door window openings. Much improved. Later-
  14. I'm sick this weekend and I'm gonna hang around the house, so look for some updates by Sunday night. Later-
  15. I like it and think it will look best in black. Keep it up. Later-

  17. Gorgeous! I still love the choice of that front bumper and grille. Later-
  18. Steve- Thanks for the info on the window trim. I am working on the fleetline version of this car as a fill in between other projects and wanted to remove and replace mine also. Of course I have .020 and .030 half round but don't think I have .040. Isn't that the way it always goes? Yours is looking fantastic, as always. Later-
