  1. Looks nice Jim. I'm working on one of these right now. The looks of these old Plymouths is growing on me. Later-
  2. Not a bad idea. I was thinking about painting the centers white since the interior and the engine bay will be white. Later-
  3. Made a wheel for my 41 Plymouth today. 4 parts. Drilled out the center of a chrome reverse wheel, the white center is sheet plastic, the cap in the center is a part from the 34 Ford pickup chrome tree with a center cap from metal rod ground to a point and polished. I'll chrome all of this. Only 3 more to go.... Later-
  4. Wow Steve! That engine is just a thing of beauty. Very nice work! Later-
  5. Thanks. The color is Rust-Oleum Marigold. My wife picked the color and I am building it for her. It is a Tamiya kit. It is a beautiful little kit. Later-
  6. Busy day at work today so all I got accomplished was a final coat of paint on my A-R Giulia Sprint GTA and finished wiring the distributor. Now to set the body aside for a bit before wet sanding and polishing. Later-
  7. Wow! What a transformation. Your work on it is amazing. That color is beautiful. I'll have to get me some of that. Later-
  8. Steve, What brand and color of black is that on the chassis? Later-
  9. Let's see some photos Sam. Thanks for the encouraging comments guys! Later-
  10. Thanks! I really liked this body style and wouldn't mind finding another one of these kits to see if I could build it more like I had in mind from the begining. Later-
  11. Thank you Gramps. Later-
  12. Thanks guys. No where near as nice as I wanted it but it feels good to have it done and on the shelf. Plus now I have half a box of extra parts. Lol! I'd like to eventually find some side mirrors for it. I had a set located the other day but, as always, when it came time to paint them and put them on they decided to relocate themselves. Later-
  13. I FINALLY finished this build!! I started this about 25 years ago. It languished for quite a while but recently decided to get it across the finish line. When I started it years ago I customized it by cutting the rear window and dropping it down creating the flying butresses and a vertical smaller rear window. I changed the wheels and glued down the flip front end. It is now a curbside. I raised up the front valance and installed a custom grille and also six taillights using aluminum tubing. I also included the side pipes from a 68 427 Vette kit. The paint is a coat of Testors Black Metallic with a mist coat of Testors Silver Blue Metallic over the upper portions for a two tone. This one became nothing special except for that I finally finished it. Hope you like it. Later-
  14. Beautiful work. I like everything about this build. This looks more like the truck my dad had. I asked on your 78/92 pickup about the grill conversion. Any help would be appreciated. Later-
  15. Nice conversion work. I like how you turned it into a round headlight grill. Got any in progress photos of how you did that? I grew up with a 78 F250 Ranger XLT Supercab. I'd love to do a build of that truck and I'm interested in any info of how to convert the grill. Later-
  16. Beautiful job. I've been using that White Lightning as a mist coat over some flat colors to pearlize it. Nice to see what the color looks like on its own. Very nice! Later-
  17. Got my 41 Plymouth painted today. I used Tamiya AS-29 Gray Green topped with a coat of White Lightning. I am also working on scratchbuilding a grill for my Corvette. Later-
  18. Amazingly beautiful build. Goes to show that some cars don't need to be flashy to look great. Nice additions of the vinyl roof and 383. Later-
  19. Very nice work! It looks great! I did a 40 Ford Sedan as a two tone using that color. It looks amazing with a cream color accent. I like Tamiya much better too, but I just bought a can last night. $9.26!!!! Last can I'll buy unless I have to. It may have fought you, but it looks like you overcame it. Later-
  20. So, I went to my Buddy's house last night to give him some parts for his build and, as always, I left with more than I gave. He gave me a couple of started projects that I am excited to have. The pickup started life as the Ed Roth version. It has a bit of damage to repair. Later-
  21. I've been working on finishing up my custom MPC Vette. I've managed to paint it and get most of it assembled. I painted a base coat of Testors Metallic Black and misted on some Testors silver blue on the upper portion for a two tone fade. All I have left to do is make a grill. I have also started on a lowered 41 Plymouth. So far just some small custom touches and a coat of primer. Later-
