  1. They have. I think one of the recent Model cars mags has done a review on it. I know someone in our club had brought on to our model club meetings.
  2. Digging through a box and found parts for the 78 T-Bird by Lindberg.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysCTI59mmEw https://plus.google.com/photos/109177857241739394189/albums/5644168774349052913?banner=pwa&authkey=COWKlPnEgcn-QA Please note this car has a recessed grille. http://www.mustangii.net/articles/mustangii_75_302_74.asp
  4. My HHR panel gets darned good mileage. About 30, but sometimes even into the 40s, plus it can haul stuff being kind of a trucklet. Chevy blew it when they quit making these. They easily could have updated that grille to reflect Chevy corporat design and competed with the Transit Connect and the Nissan NV 200 and the forth coming Ram small truck/van that will be made by Fiat. But noone ever accused GM of being smart.
  5. In the beginning, you could not get a V8 Mustang II. The cars were V6s or 4s. But across the border, Mexican buyers could buy 74s with a V8. These were not allowed in the US. Also those Mexican V8 302s had a higher nickel content in the steel and were much prized by racers and performance builders. Once car guys found out about this, they clamored for the V8. The Mexican version had ducting that cooled the battery, the latter US V8 did not have this.
  6. Everyone pretty much covered everything that I saw except one thing. It's something I strive to make sure is installed right. The headlight glass is not in correct as the lens facets appear to be on the diagonal axis. These should be placed so the facts show vertical and horizontal. I don't know if the facets will show on my 56 in the pic. One thind I will commend you on is the total lack of glue showing as far as I can see.
  7. Mmmmmm, think I'll hold onto these for a bit....LOL I hear if you put them together , you get a whole body shell.
  8. Unless you live in Wisconsin where sales tax must be paid on items bought online. Not that we tell the Department of Revenue
  9. Besides the formerly mentioned Terabyte of music, I listen to talk radio too.
  10. Beiber can play several instruments....and quite well, too.
  11. Being a DJ, I have a Terabyte of music to listen to.
  12. Trouble with these cars is, that they will need complete restoration work just as a rusty wreck with over 100,000 miles on it. And it will cost about the same, too.
  13. I'd keep the same color and LT trim bits if it were mine. There are enough Zed 28s on the road. Probably more than GM made originally.
  14. Yes, bring the daughter. All are welcome
  15. Yet the Mustang II was closer to it's original roots than you think. A small car with common underpinnings. Now everyone acts like the Mustang was something special, but it had it's source in the common lowly Falcon. After it's beginning as a small light weight car, it grew in length and pounds. By the time the early 70s brought the long strwetched out Mustang, it was far from it's beginnings. Also do not forget that the Ford Probe (which wasn't such a bad car in it's own right) was initially going to be the Mustang after the II was put to rest. Luckily, a fan outcry saved the marque and we got the Fox platform car...again a car based on the common underpinnings of lesser cars like the Zephyr and the Fairmont, plus Marquis, LTD II and Thunderbird versions.
  16. I knew a guy who put a Chevy 350 in a Lloyd Alexander station wagon.
  17. Were these older kits, or the newer releases?
  18. Got this little tidbit for $3 at my secret model place.
  19. I stopped in my secret place for models and I scored a Tamiya kit of the Opel Astra V8 Coupe for $15, plus these little trinkets. Got this pile of parts for $2. Are these of any value?
  20. Just join our club, Auto Modeler's Group and you get a 15 to 20 % discount at Greenfield news And Hobby. We meet at Waterstone bank on S27th in Oak Creek. First Friday of every month at 7PM. 6560 S 27th St Oak Creek, WI 53154
  21. Here in Wisconsin we have Ernie Von Schleidorn. A German immigrant, he started selling VWs and later he sold Buicks. Now he sells several lines. His tag line on TV was "Who you know wants to buy a car?".

  23. I do not let things like this affect my purchasing habits. Those that do are spineless kneejerk reactionaries with no ability of creating their own choice.
  24. I'm thinking it's kept indoors in winter. She lives just north of us.
  25. Especially since this is a Wisconsin car...nicely kept.
