  1. Winch and brush guard are from the 80's GMC short bed kit.
  2. Picked it up on Amazon for 18 bucks (including shipping). There are ones that are in better condition, but they cost $30+. I believe there's also one in fair condition for 10 bucks.
  3. Rules on the first page don't mention it has to be a 4x4, so I guess any is allowed. Rolltide: you should update the first post.
  4. Most of the time I have just been able to copy and paste the image into Word.
  5. I use Open Office Drawing, which is great for resizing the images and lining them all up for best fit.
  6. Well, besides the 1972 Trucks and Blazers, I know there's a GMC grille conversion already. At least the Blazer, not sure if it would work on the trucks. http://www.banditresins.com/gmc_jimmy.html
  7. Well try posting one here and we can help you out.
  8. Couple different Chevy and GMC grilles for the 1988-1998 trucks (stock GMC, W/T GMC and Chevy, single headlight GMC and Chevy.
  9. That looks horrible! ... Great work!
  10. Not sure about HD or WM, but if you have any hobby shops around check them out, otherwise you can order online. Site I would suggest is Hobbylinc. I linked you to the plastic section, so you can just search for whatever shape you need (sheet, round-tube, textured, etc.)
  11. No problems here. You can always click on the picture to get to the links. How much storage have you used?
  12. Here's a site I posted in the 1:1 reference section which has both magazine ads and brochures, from the 20's up until today. http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html
  13. Look for this trailer: I built one up a while back and it's a great build with plenty of detail. (May be too big for the truck you built if it is in 1/25 scale) Alternatively, there is an AMT reefer trailer that I believe is 1/25th scale, but it is vintage and may be hard to find (check out eBay).
  14. Works for me! If you wanna know how...: 1) under the picture click "share photo" 2) click "hotlink this image" 3) take the code from "direct link to photo" and insert into IMG tags
  15. For colored lenses or anodizing parts I like using colored Sharpies. The thin style is great for smaller details and the larger tip is great for the larger lenses and parts.
  16. I found a site which has many brochures and magazine ads for many American cars, from the 20's all the way up to now. http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html It of course doesn't have all of them , but there is quite a selection so far!
  17. It is tough to say...though I do think at least 1/18th scale should be included in the Big Boys!
  18. Here's a good tutorial I found: http://www.briansmodelcars.com/tutorials/tutorial/109 Course, to be honest, I'm sure yours will turn out better than the one built in the tutorial!
  19. Classic: Best one ever!
  20. Where the heck did you get that kit from? It looks great! Edit: just saw you said it is a promo.
  21. Anyone have an update besides Jared here? I for one would like to see some more progress on these builds!
  22. Isn't this just like the "Snowball project"?
