  1. Yes, and unfortunately it's before I'll be home to start building again. (I still have that F-350 to rebuild!) BTW it's March 31st
  2. *Insert swear word here* Does that count? Agree though, less boasting and more posting!
  3. That looks great! Only gripe is the fact that (at least in the pictures) the shade of orange on the various parts doesn't match.
  4. I don't suppose you could extend the deadline another 3 months or so?...
  5. "Tad Nugent? It's Ted Nugent!"
  6. Is it Monday already? Boy did the week go by fast!
  7. To lighten up the mood a bit, this thread has gone from complaining about Evilone drawing attention to himself, to people who don't know how to use a camera. Wonder where it will go to next!
  8. Haha it's up on a high shelf so it won't get knocked off! Not much of a story really, they just wanted to pull the transmission and driveshaft for whatever reason. I'm surprised it's still standing! To everyone else so far, thanks! My grandpa was surprised and very happy when I showed it to him.
  9. Many years ago, my grandpa drove around his 1975 Scout II until one day he rolled it. Now it's sitting in his yard rusting away. I decided to take AMT's kit, and recreate his Scout when it was in its glory days. Here is what it currently looks like: What I did to modify the kit was: remove lower molding (didn't have time to recreate the actual upper molding), used the wheels and tires from the '72 Blazer kit to simulate the wheel covers, added an antenna, sun visors, heater blower, radiator and washer reservoirs, master cylinder and brake booster, plug wires, more detailed air cleaner, correct accessory belt arrangement with power steering pump, vent window trim for rear quarter-windows, flip forward hood, cut out the door windows for a clearer view of the interior, installed the lowback seats from the CJ-7 kit, and of course 1975-correct grille (which includes clear headlight lenses). The exterior green on the model is somewhat lighter than the actual green on the 1:1, but I figured it would help the model pop a bit. (Sorry for the blurry pics, my camera wasn't cooperating) I plan on placing the model in a display case and setting it up at my grandparent's house. Enjoy!
  10. Well I was finally able to complete the boat and trailer! I installed a spare wheel and tire, installed the bow support/winch from the Waverider kit, put on the brightwork on the boat, and installed the wiring to the engine. I also stripped the paint off my F-350 kit, and have started spray painting the chassis, though I don't have any pictures of it yet.
  11. Le Mons=lemons=crappy cars...get it?
  12. Jeep CJ-7 from St. Elmo's Fire
  13. Time to bring this page back to the top! I was finally able to finish my build over the weekend. Build is Demi Moore's CJ-7 from St. Elmo's Fire. And here's mine: Built pretty much box stock, with a few minor additions such as the front highback bucket seats from the AMT Scout kit, turn signal lever, spark plug wires, and of course the correct license plates. Enjoy!
  14. Yes but isn't a back issue like 6 bucks plus shipping, or something along those lines? Each issue is for 2 months, so there are 6 per year. 6 issues times 5 years comes out to be 30 issues, which when multiplied by 6 dollars comes out to be $180 for the last 5 years, which makes a $50 CD seem like a bargain!
  15. Actually he quoted all the pictures, from the original post, in his reply which was right after the original post.
  16. This should be a good build, too bad about your broken models though! Plasticfrog: please don't quote all the pictures, especially since you're the post after the one you're quoting!
  17. I would think that rather then making a new thread every other week about this topic, a PM could just be sent to the offender letting them know. I'm sure most will gladly comply, and if there's a reason they don't want to, they can simply discuss it in private.
  18. Haha no biggie, it was all I had on hand. Plus, I'm not too worried about under the hood since it's supposed to be stock. Edit: Got the wheels and tires put on.
  19. Got a little more done today. I put on both bumpers, the rest of the exhaust system, valve covers and air cleaner, and I put on the spark plug wires.
  20. Thank you! Now Brian, you may continue with your project!
