  1. Nice build Chris. Dave B
  2. Tks for the kind words folks. Roger, I just went to the auto shop and asked for pure yellow, the tin says M07. Speedfreak, it's just Fujimi's MkII but with numbers by Patto. It's not quite the correct yellow for Frank's car but I thought it looked OK aesthetically. Just had to spray the stripes Tks again Dave B.
  3. Basically a stock build but, being an Aussie, I have painted it as Frank Gardner's highly unsuccessful Le Mans attempt. Tks for looking. Dave B
  4. Nice build of an unusual subject. Tks for showing Jurgen. Dave B.
  5. Great idea and build. Nice to see Dan's first race car instead of an Eagle, Cobra, etc. Dave B

Nice build Nice, well done. Dave B
  8. Hi folks, tks for the kind words. I'll try and answer all your questions. Rex, the early version is Mini Exotics, the later one I converted from a coupe. I have seen a CMA transkit, it is better than mine but I could not locate one. Brian, the 350 was converted from a Heller P4 coupe using plans from Model Racing Replica News. I did cheat a little and cast the snorkels and screen in resin using a Patto's vacform. I then modified the snorkels and vaçformed a screen. Helmut, I made a mould for the screen out of MDF, coated it in fibreglass then vacformed it. Mark, yes I cast the manifold and used that as well. Dave B
  9. Sorry for the delay, couldn't get Photobucket pics uploaded, senior moment Dave B
  10. Just a few pics of both my versions, the second being converted from a coupe some years ago Tks again Dave B
  11. From zero to hero, the initial and final iterations. I have just completed building Mini Exotics transkit for the initial Can-Am version of X 1. No a fun kit to build but I am happy with the outcome. I had to make up the windshield and surround as the kit came with the full spyder windscreen. Also had to grind out about 1/4" of resin from the rear to open the exhaust and grille outlets. Also used resin 48mm side draft webers from the GS Corvette. Thanks to my mate Phil for the blue side stripes, the kit came with black ones. Thanks for looking Dave B
  12. Nice build Dan and an unusual colour, for a Muira. I take it you started with the Hasegawa SV and used the standard Muira wheels? Dave B
  13. Nice build Mitch, I built it so long ago I think mine is sprayed in enamel. Dave B
  14. Nice build Dann, something really different. Dave B
  15. Nice build Harry Regards Dave B
  16. Nice build Mitch.Dave B
  17. Tks again folks. Tom, I cut it myself but it is around 1mm wide. I did use black however I recall reading somewhere it should be a verry dark blue. Regards Dave
  18. Tks for the kind words guys & gals. It's the Fujimi kit, the blue is actually Triumph Powder Blue (according to the GT40 forums this is the actual colour Gulf used) and the black stripe is auto pin stripe tape (sorry folks, cheated on that one) then clear coated the lot. There are a few issues with it, particularly around the roundels, could have done better. Ed, still have a Fisher 2F to build, hope you like it when built. Regards Dave B
  19. Just an out of the box build of GT 40 P1075 albeit with the stripes sprayed, using auto acrylic, in lieu of decals. Tks for looking Dave B
  20. Tks guys, appreciate the comments Dave B
  21. A box stock build of the Fisher 512M. Didn't try to match the yellow with the decal supplied so that is painted. They never quite turn out as well as planned but it has finished up respectable. Tks for looking Dave
  22. That's a nice conversion to a 'D' Dann, congratulations Dave B
  23. Tks guys, appreciate the kind words. Dave B
