  1. I started building my cab about two years ago, but quit on it when Moebius announced the kit. So, with my original cab, and one of the kits, I've been grafting the two together, and its almost been faling together! Heres the two "doner"cabs And here after the rough cutting was done. The roof details will be refined later tonight.

  4. For the red/orange that CN uses, try looking for True Line Trains CN Red. Its right on for color, acrylic, and most have sprayed it right out of the bottle, without thinning!
  5. After having my hands on an early test shot for a while, all I can say is its one sweet kit!!! Daycab coming soon, as a conversion cab.....
  6. About 3 weeks, and then customs......
  7. Any hobby shop that carries Evergreen, or Plastruct should have sheets of styrene available. Around Toronto there are several good stores. Johns photo/Hobby on the Danforth, Hornet Hobbies on O'Conner, Georges Trains on Alden in Markham are some of the larger stores.
  8. IIRC Kit Form Services offers photo etched guards. Sourkrauts carries them.

  10. Give the museum a little time. I requested some info from them on some firetrucks. It took about 4 weeks, but I recieved a stack of info 1/2" thick!!! Well worth the wait!
  11. The biggest problem with offering the H-D parts would be tip-toeing around the licensing....
  12. I'm a little late on the 1/32 wheels question, but check out Don Mills models. He has alot of 1/32 stuff.
  13. Some of those early cabs look like they were built TCM in Ohio. They are a fairly large fab. shop for the trucking industry. They built the "Cincinatti Cab" firetruck cabs. I may have access to a spotter without an engine in it. I'll see what I can do over the weekend.

  15. The square pods are the tach-0-graphs. Heres one I found on a Google search.....It looks similar to what is on the kit dash. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/08/betcha-never-seen-this-speedometer-and.html Heres a Wiki link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachograph And a manufacturer http://www.atrol.com/tachograph.htm
  16. Finaly found a dash pic of a Paystar, or Transtar.
  17. I have a resin IH S-Series hood and cab that would work with those bodies. It would be in the '78-'88 time frame.
  18. The Paystar would have round gauges in the dash. The kit has tach-o-graphs on there instead of gauges. They were a kind of trip log, that recorded engine speed, and actual speed, and other info. I'll see if I can find a good dash pic for you.
