  1. I googled MCM and found this one ... Piano Hinges
  2. Dash is exquisite!
  3. I had one that did move programs but lost touch about it. Only one I know now is PC Mover. This is a link to a review of it. These work because they transfer registry info and are very handy. Most of my new computers came from the fact my hard disk crashed so this type of software wouldn't help. Your own data you mention should be backed up anyway. I'd suggest getting a portable hard drive. They are fairly cheap for the security the offed for your data.
  4. This is NOT just "Another Super 7" I've been following all along and WoW!
  5. Loving watching this progress ..
  6. One word .. well, ok, I have to force that ,, timemanagement! I have all those things you mention but still build year round. There's a place for everything. Granted, I build at a glacial pace compared to many, but rarely a day goes by that I don't do something on a build. As the glue dries I hose out the gutters.
  7. Everything about that looks great ... from every angle!
  8. That's a pretty darn good looking Russian car! And the model looks greatly detailed ... check the brake lines on the movable wheels!
  9. I glue wheels too but just use the wire ties that come with many display bases. I make sure the suspension is well glued before wrapping the wire tie around it. This lets me remove the model if so needed in the future. Wood and other types of bases could be easily made to use wire ties also.
  10. The grill and bumper are one piece. I painted the section between them.
  11. Those look really good ... especially for a first try. Doesn't look like you got flooded with bubbles like happened to me. What kit did you use .. especially what resin?
  12. Definitely cool ... and that's some meat at the rear!
  13. I love just watching your projects evolve.
  14. I really like that body you're using.
  15. You might find something close in the various AMT Chevy Vans. I built an '85 GMC that my daughter owned and it had a Chevy grill, though the GMC one I used seems closer to what you need. The center would need rebuilding and chroming .. I used Alclad on the one in the photo. I did a search here and the first photo on this page has a similar Chevy grill ... it may be the A-Team one. If it looks close I'll find it and get a photo up .. and it's yours if you can use it. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/?showtopic=76777&page=2
  16. Beautiful walls .. amazing they are scribed!
  17. I use rattle cans as much as I can .. even for bodies. I go through metalizers and various blacks like soup. I have good air brushes but they are just a pain to clean up and use so I onlu use when I need a color that's not available in rattle cans.

I have windows 8.1 on this computer but I don't see that there's any difference posting pics, unless you are letting Microsoft make you use it like a smartphone! DO update to 8.1 and I'd suggest installing Classic Shell to bring your Start Menu back. It's free and I was able to set my Mothers new laptop start menu back to XP and mine to Win 7.
  19. I'm not sure what shade of red you're after but it's as John says, flat colors give a better representation for interiors. The red in my '59 Impala is just Testors red I think, but was covered with Dull Coat and buffed.
  20. Talk about a soaker! ... may the glue be gone
  21. That's a good looking car for way back then ... the flat flow from front to back .. and that grill is awesome for the era! You did another beautiful build and that light blue paint really sets it off.
  22. Your build is very interesting and I really want to see how you get it all together with the body joined, but that copyright IS very distracting. Nobody does that ... it seems more important than what you're trying to show us.
  23. The wood enclosure is cut and stained and the bed angles are glued. I may add a higher row that will allow the wood to just slide in with no glue. Have to check my bolts to see what works as bolts thru the members.
  24. Really good looking '49 .. and different to boot!
