  1. I would love to see it done also,I have a bunch of 75-76 Dart Sports just begging to be made 73-74 models,I have an idea guys, lets start up a petition, and BEG one of our talented resin casters out here to ,A make the grill,or B,make it in photo etch,I would buy 10 of them alone, myself,I started on a 73 got the rear of the car almost done, cut out the 75-76 grill and all I need is the right grill texture to put in there,Just an idea,If I can get enough replys I may be able to convince someone to do this project!Steve
  2. one question,How do you keep it from rubbing off ?I used it on some wheelcovers and 2 sets of bumpers, well after letting the stuff dry,for over 2 weeks,I went back to push the wheelcovers in the tires, and it just rubbed off in my fingers, how do you seal this stuff?I tryed clear coat,on scrap plastic, well that didn't work, what is the secret?mind you,I spent $16 on this stuff, and have nothing to show for it,I could have sent my parts out to someone that plates the parts for less, any help,Steve
  3. Thats for a 74 Duster,not a DODGE DART!
  4. I also have the MPC 72 Road Runner, and mine is molded in a shade that looks like "hemi orange"or "tor red"as Plymouth called it,and my 2 83'issue 74 gtxs are molded in two different shades of orange, here is the 72 Road Runner
  5. No that is the 83 Issue body, here is a pick of the unbuilt kit,and it suffered from the same issues as the recent AMT/ERTL kit, wrong dash and chassis
  6. Well here is what I got from My Fiance',2 restorable Dodge Trucks,a 73,and 74,everything but the Force 440 on the right ,I got that from a friend for a trade, and The Dusters were for my Birthday!A promo and a mint kit!The 76 Road Runner was From my Mom and Dad,yes they STILL get me models,at my age!
  7. I have 2 of the orange kits from 83,they still have the Road Runner emblems on the body!great score,I payed $75 for both of mine,a few years back!and one of the bodys was twisted beyond use! seems like everyone is getting rid of these cars now that the DOH Road Runner is coming out,I just hope they do it right this timeeven the 83 issue of the kit had the wrong dash and chassis
  8. Looks great so far,My dad had one of these 62 Newports back in the late 60's,he did alot of work on the motor, and it was dyno'd at 535 hp,he still to this day talks about his Newport,It was White with the Blue interior,I'll be watching this one ,keep up the great work,I know this will be a master peice!
  9. Your cruiser looks great,I want to find the Blue factory stock version of it!
  10. I got this today from my soon to be wife for an early Christmas present Bett r pics!
  11. Very funny guys, what you can't handle the cold like northern people?
  12. I would really love to see the 69 also,I have a 69 ElCamino I won off e-pay 2years ago,and the thing is worthless,so PLEASE make that one,I'll get one for sure,I already made up the non SS hood ,to make one,I lost out back when F&F had them out,and have wanted one ever since!Steve
  13. Get the one from Matt that other one is a P.O.S,I can't believe someone bid on it!It would be worth waiting for his to come out,and have an accurate 70,not some cobbled up mess, the window areas by the back doors are ALL wrong!
  14. This arrived in the mail about 20 minutes ago!
  15. I have one question about this kit-- where are the rear bumper guards that make this car look right? Would it have been to hard for the to tool up 2 seperate parts? and as far as the taillights they are for the 77-78 Fury ,NOT the Monaco as they had ribs running through them like this!
  16. My only problem with the revell 69 Charger is the front bumper looks TOTALY wrong,it is way to big,I would use the revell 69,and cut the grill inserts from the grill and use the amt-mpc General Lee kit for that and the wheels,or use the custom wheels from the 69 AMT Buick Riviera, those are actualy the correct wheels for the General Lee
  17. Use Scale cote,it's about $10 a bottle,I bought 2 the summer of 2008 and I'm still using it,just pour enough over the body, and let it sit, overnight and you should be good to go,just don't use the whole bottle at that time I found out with this stuff less is better,I just stripped an old 73 Dodge Truck,it was painted flat black, now it's back to white plastic!,also a little trick I learned is after you strip the paint off, wash it,and dry it ,and take a clean paper towel and pour some on it,and wipe down the body, and it makes it look as if it was never painted!I got a decent 73 builder Dodge truck for under $30 ,this stuff is priceless to me,I have stripped over 100 or so cars with 2 bottles of the stuff,so it's worth the $10 ! Steve Ketterer
  18. Not a problem, now disabled modeler, was the kit you have you bought new ,so to speak the one that went for $152 on the fee pay?you know the Green Mr,Gasket prostock or stock version?the original from late 1971,or 1972!I had that kit,and it is nearly impossible for that to happen, simple fact, that hood is packed way down in the bottom of the box!I'm also disabled with heart trouble at the age of 36 and I still pay for my stuff,or atleast make an attempt to do a good trade with some one,my oppinion ,on this comment you made, and your screen name is to try and get stuff for free from people like us all on here ,well you have to trade or do something else to get stuff from people,as as far as the Comet promo ,I will be sending that to Kevin as soon as I can, maybe within the next few days,so WE all can BUY and BUILD a factory stock 71-72 Comet, and please you other guys don't think I was being mean,I was just making a point,by the way,my Holy Grail model kit is a mint 73 Dodge Truck!send me one! Steve Ketterer
  19. Kevin it will be alot easier to just send you the whole car, that way it won't be lost in the mail,Like I said the Comet is mint, and I'm not going to take anything off it,I'll leave that up to you,as you guys there are better at getting things taking apart ,send me a PM off here! But I will send you the car to use!
  20. Ok let me know when you need it,and i'll send you the whole car,but i'll need it back sometime, very expensive promo by the way!
  21. where do we start?as far as plastic,I'd have to say revell's 69 Nova and 70 Torino's,think about it guys, they are still missing the boat on so many subjects ,True story,I sent the guys at Round2 an email saying I'd loan them my mint 71 Demon to scan and reissue the car,I would have also sent them EVERY year Duster also to do the same, well to make along story short they turned it down,so really I don't think they really care what they put out,I know 1 thing,if I see anymore 69 camaros issued I'm going to scream, they just keep doing the same things over and over, why not do something that has NEVER been done, wheres our 70 Chrysler 300 H?or 70 Charger R/T?In my oppinion I maybe off subject quite abit, but my kits of the decade goes to the resin casters, the rest make great donor kit's!Feel free to rib me,I can take it,lol
  22. I got this wendsday in a trade ,it will make a great 76 fury!I have already started on the body work on it
  23. Hey Kevin you want the CORRECT wheel covers for this?when you do it,I have a mint promo I'll lone ya!
  24. ok,well what is the deal with the 70 style /daytona hood in the kit,and the inserts from the 71/72 charger grill?I agree, they should of scanned a mint 69 body and remolded it,I would have bought it for that,as long as they fixed the 70 style hood, they also need to do that with the 71 Demon,to bring that back,I'll send them my mint kit to do it!
  25. Buy the Missing Link Mustang you will be VERY happy with it!
