  1. The OG Ranchero tires look to be a pretty close copy of the original AMT compact tire. I have a set of tires from an early issue of the AMT Corvair and the tires are about the same size.
  2. Nice! Is it just me, or do the graphics sort of look like the old Turbo Buick logos?
  3. Not that I'm aware of. The '64 GMC crew cab he built it for is on his club's website but there aren't any engine pics. http://www.masscar.com/jeff-harper.html
  4. Nice! I can't say I'm a huge fan of a GM-built Detroit in a Ford (even though you could certainly order them that way), but I do have to say that powerplant ought to supply more than adequate punch.
  5. Jeff Harper used a Linberg 1:20 S-10 V6 for the basis of one he built, then scratchbuilt the heads and rocker covers.
  6. I believe KFS did the "Road Commode II" a few years back. It included no cutesy decal graphics like this, though...
  7. A guy named Dave Bish is working on an Autocar ACL for Joe Whitman (TL Model Trucks & Parts). I've heard other versions (perhaps including a RB2) in the works. https://www.facebook.com/TLModelTruck?ref=bookmarks
  8. I can only "date" two of them off the top of my head- The C600s depict '71-'73 models- they went to a wider wheel opening ("flare" for want of a better term) for '74. I'm told the White Road Boss and White Western Star, going by the door handle design, are no newer than 1971- they went to a push-button type door handle beginning in 1972.
  9. Sheesh- it would take me about three years to have something half this detailed to this point.
  10. Finally managed to get a pic in the snow.
  11. Clean it the way you would a resin part. I've noticed that sometimes Moebius (and a few from other manufacturers as well) have some kind of residue on the plastic in spots. Should end the paint adhesion problems.
  12. I heard there's a Pete 579 on the way. Trouble is, it's just the old Italeri Aeromax 120 with a Red Oval decal instead of a Blue Oval for the grille.
  13. Maybe not perfect, but how many working rigs are? Still a nice looking DR.
  14. Talk about "getting high"...
  15. Finally got around to adding the turn signals and side markers today.
  16. Since the kit mirrors are nowhere to be found, I was thinking of a setup like this... Mr. Davison's bread and butter may be barn and silo work, but what's stopping him from relocating small buildings on the side?
  17. ^That's the pic that started it all.
  18. I'm getting one, mostly for amusement. But I might get more. Ignore the Marmon hood, grille, and graphics, and it still comes with all the parts to build a very nice Pete 359.
  19. Chrysler isn't Chrysler anymore? Well, yeah... that's been true since the merger with Daimler happened in 1998. The former Chrysler Corporation ceased to exist at that point. Hardly news at this point.
  20. Engine is in the '71 flat bed. I stayed with the kit's 534 Super Duty V8 gas engine, grimed and rusted up to look like a well-used example. Fuel tanks can be seen in the background- the seams have all been filled, they just need to be primed and painted now, and the filler caps installed.
