  1. Finally got around to adding the turn signals and side markers today.
  2. Since the kit mirrors are nowhere to be found, I was thinking of a setup like this... Mr. Davison's bread and butter may be barn and silo work, but what's stopping him from relocating small buildings on the side?
  3. ^That's the pic that started it all.
  4. I'm getting one, mostly for amusement. But I might get more. Ignore the Marmon hood, grille, and graphics, and it still comes with all the parts to build a very nice Pete 359.
  5. Chrysler isn't Chrysler anymore? Well, yeah... that's been true since the merger with Daimler happened in 1998. The former Chrysler Corporation ceased to exist at that point. Hardly news at this point.
  6. Engine is in the '71 flat bed. I stayed with the kit's 534 Super Duty V8 gas engine, grimed and rusted up to look like a well-used example. Fuel tanks can be seen in the background- the seams have all been filled, they just need to be primed and painted now, and the filler caps installed.
  7. Thanks guys. Headlights came from an AMT White Road Boss- they're the unused Western Star parts. Tires came from the IH Paystar mixer- the dump truck came with the same tires.
  8. I haven't made a regular cab from this particular kit yet, but it's pretty much the same process no matter what the kit. All you'd need to do is cut out the rear doors and the same amount from the roof, and bring the cab wall forward, with the interior floor and side panels cut to match. Also- this being a late model Super Duty- remove the ribs from the roof- regular cabs don't have them.
  9. This looks like a US '56, but it was described as a '57.
  10. Squeezed off one more... maybe the Diamond Reo stands a chance too.
  11. That's one I'd like to build as well, along with the Turbo Titan and Ford's "Big Red".
  12. I've got an IH slant four in the works- If I keep creeping around this thread, it might get me motivated enough to get back at it.
  13. This is my "junkyard runner", build mostly from spares and cast-offs from other projects. It's been retrofitted with a Cat V8 and eventually will be paired up with a single axle flatbed trailer loaded down with scrap metal.
  14. '59 tractor is done- pics in Under Glass soon.
  15. Dave Labrava "Burnin' Rubber with Jimmy Carbone".
  16. "Stacks up" pretty well- this is the best White Freightliner DD I've seen in a long time.
  17. I actually used the straight-on front shot of that same truck as reference when I redid the grille.
  18. "Cool" might be a relative term, but I did spot this yesterday.
  19. It's not a joke if you need it explained to you.
