  1. That's the only gripe I have, the car is a '94 or '95. Still, a lovely job on this one.
  2. There are a couple of Mack N transkits for this. http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&product_id=803 http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/kitsparts.html
  3. Satin apple green, yes.
  4. Sweet! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks these look good laid out on big wheels.
  5. Chopped and hardtopped... I like!
  6. Doesn't matter what scale, or even if a kit of it exists... what's the one truck that you absolutely know you will model one of these days come hell or high water? For me, it's got to be the Kenworth C500...
  7. Like them all, but I love the IH and Western Star.
  8. 40 grand, huh? Wonder how much he'd have saved if he'd opted not to go with that godawful paint scheme.
  9. None of the Avanti or Pacer kits have a separate frame, but all the kits listed so far are good suggestions for separate frame sources.
  10. Looks even 'better' on a truck. And by 'better', I mean not.
  11. Ithaca's new Caprice- suprised I haven't seen a diecast of this to go with the Taurus Interceptor yet. The county guys are running the new Explorers now too-
  12. Take a look at the Lindberg (ex-Palmer) '40 Ford coupe, then take a look at the AMT '40 Coupe. Looks like the Palmer folks re-engineered their kit from AMT's. In fact, if I recall correctly, quite a few parts actually interchange between the two, even though every part is different between the two kits.
  13. Hopefully not with an atypical generic type chassis this time...
  14. I can see where you are coming from with that, but I think in this case the Batman and DC Comics connections might help to sell more than a few of these. There are quite a few Batman/comic fans who might not normally buy a model kit, but will pick up this one just because of that connection. I know Lindberg and AMT sold quite a few of their Coke-themed kits to Coca-Cola collectors. Between that and the market for people who want to build/kitbash this, I think this will be a more than decent seller.
  15. That's the company that owns Round 2's molding facilities.
  16. There isn't anything fundamentally wrong with the interior- it just lacks some of the finer details newer kits might have. It's still pretty workable with a bit of detail painting.
  17. The front tires are Hoosier asphalt tires- I'm not sure if they are regular production or if they were custom-made for the Tumbler.
  18. Just going by the movies- I can think of at least two ways to build this- as the 'Batmobile' (Well, duh!) and in its military prototype form. And... I can also see it being put to use by sci-fi and post-apoc guys who'll do all sorts of untoward things with it. A buddy of mine is a hardcore military modeler- he wants to take one and build it to represent how it might look and be equipped as if it were a real-life US Military vehicle. And I have no doubts in my mind at all that more than a handful of these will be purchased for those Super Swamper TSL tires. I'm planning on doing at least a couple of variations for this one. As far as the third Christopher Nolan Batman movie? It was pretty much doomed to fail after how awesome 'The Dark Knight' was. I figured as much going in, but I have to say Anne Hathaway in a skin tight Catwoman suit made it worth seeing at least once. All in all I wasn't thrilled with it, but I didn't hate it. Just wasn't the best send-off for the Nolan trilogy. At the very least we can all be VERY happy the Schumacher years are over and done with. Yeah- the original TV series was campy, but the Schumacher flicks were the wrong kind of campy.
  19. Looks like you'll be un-chopping the old AMT Orange Blossom kit.
  20. Can it really be a Z-28 without T-tops?
  21. A beauty!
  22. Roll call... How many of you bought a Manx kit with a short-shot right front hub? Two of the three I've purchased had this problem. Just curious.
  23. I was just about to ask the same thing.
  24. Jeez Anne... save some of those Revell engines for the rest of us, will ya????
