  1. You could shorten the chassis a bit, so that the rear axle is centered under the bed. Short of that, just about any '30's truck bed could be used on it.
  2. Bad news as far as the intent of this thread, but good news for modelers- Randy is casting these again, or at least was back at it quite recently.
  3. So it's the Ferrari The Ferrari. Yeah. That makes it so much better.
  4. Amen to that, buddy! Rob the SOHC from the AMT '33 Willys kit if you want to power one of these kits with one.
  5. I like how it looks... but that's the most idiotic model name in recent memory. At least they didn't call it the Ferrari Coupe DeVille, I guess.
  6. I won't doubt that- heck, the Great Dane trailer is a jaw-dropper, and as Tim Ahlborn said it's 'just a trailer'.
  7. Looks like I'm in the minority as well, but I'll leave the final choice up to Mr. Jones himself, of course.
  8. If only there were Alero and Grand Am clips in this scale. Wait, there IS a really rare AMT Olds Intrigue promo... There's about 3/8" of resin caked into the tops of the fenders, so this is about as low as the rear will go. Not sure if I'm digging the 'bum in the air' look, but we'll see. I really don't feel like spending an hour or so grinding out the wheel wells, but again... we'll see.
  9. Another thing you might want to do while in Advance- check out the clearance rack. When they are cycling out colors and types of paint they will no longer be carrying, you'll often find them there for a significant discount. Back when I still worked there I picked up two cans of DupliColor and a can of VHT header paint... less than five bucks for all three.
  10. Well, I have been accused of single-handedly buying enough of them to recoup Moebius' tooling and development expenses. Might be true.
  11. Found a few more... ^^^^^Look closely and you'll see the tail end of a '50 Olds... diorama with the new Revell kit, anyone?
  12. Six finished, one nearly finished, and six more in varios stages. And I've got about as many ideas for more. I think I really like these. "Eensy teensy" is just a cute way of saying "small".
  13. Loving this! Is it just me, or does this kinda/sorta vaguely resemble a mid '60's Imperial?
  14. One more fun little shot for the evening...
  15. As has been said- the Lindberg '64 Dodge would be an ideal chassis donor. When Tom Coolidge (Promolite 2000) mastered his '61 Fury he offered an extra hood so that builders could cut it open and use that kit for the chassis. That same chassis will work under quite a few Mopars of the era- same goes for the '64 Belvedere. The engine from either of those kits would work, too.
  16. AMT '74 Plymouth GTX. None of the ones I've built have turned out well for me, for whatever reason.
  17. There can NOT be very many stock Willys coupes left in the wild at this point. Refreshing to see one restored stock.
  18. You do realize this is a model with a styrene body... so, again, no rust... Love how this came out, Tom. This one is my favorite of all the models I've seen built from this kit.
  19. Captain Picard had an iPad... back when Next Generation first aired in 1987. Checkmate.
  20. Feeling motivated again... Hodge-podged the engine into something resembling almost complete. Also picked out a wheel/tire setup- robbed these from the new Revell '62 Corvette.
  21. It's a Salt Flats racer, and it's a Jag- I have no choice but to love it.
  22. The local dealer keeps regular cab duallies in stock, so depending on how you want it equipped it might be a special order, but that cab/bed configuration has always been available from Ford.
  23. Looks perfect from here- many of the remaining late '70's GM trucks in Michigan look pretty much like that, plow-equipped or no.
