  1. Beautiful!
  2. You've heard of 'sticker bomb', right? Maybe this guy was trying to start an 'emblem bomb' craze?
  3. Always liked the way these look folded up onto the tractor for transport. Fantastic looking rig!
  4. Love the FC, but I just can't bring myself to like the J-truck. The front end just looks out of proportion with the rest of the truck.
  5. I'll be watching indeed... and you can bet I'd be in the market for a Green Goblin head. I'd love to see somebody do the Happy Toyz decals for it as well...
  6. If you ever make your way to the north end of St.Johns, MI on BR-127, you'll pass Gary's Garage, and he's always had a rather interesting decoration on the side of his building facing the road. Interesting way to dispose of spare parts laying around the shop, wouldn't you say? It's something I've wanted to try in 1:25 for quite a while.
  7. Might do that- if things go to plan I'll be using the majority of the Escalade interior.
  8. Love this one! I'm working on a not-so-mild custom Edsel myself. Love that grille treatment.
  9. Sorry for dredging up an old thread (or not!), but I was wondering what year Pete started using the larger Red Oval on the 352, as the Round2 reissue includes both the smaller and larger size ovals on the decal sheet. I just picked up this kit, and I would consider both of Tim's articles on it in MC and this thread required reading to anyone who wants to take a shot at this kit.
  10. It's an early Cadillac- not sure exactly what year it is supposed to represent, but the first-gen postwar Cadillac OHV V8 was made from 1949 to 1962.
  11. Looks a lot better as a built model than a bunch of raw plastic castings in a box, doesn't it?
  12. They are, but I think the car looks better without them. Fantastic looking 'Liner!
  13. I've roughed in the Cadillac Escalade headlights- I'm thinking these will sort of split the difference between 'aero' and 'non aero'. Or not. I just wanted to try 'em out...
  14. He did end up with a few of them. Ray ended up casting a few other's products after the original companies closed up. I know he still casts at least one of the old SJS bodies- the '38 IH COE. Unless that wasn't an SJS originally.
  15. No, but Dave Carey is working on a D-series pickup and a Travelall. Not sure when it will be coming out.
  16. Not without major sectioning of the cab above the fender line. Do NOT wanna do that. On this particular one...
  17. Looking good so far. Really dig that chop!
  18. Nope, second and third... I'll elbow my way to the front and I don't care what anybody thinks!
  19. Spring 2013 is what they're saying- no date has been set yet that I'm aware of.
  20. Thanks! You guys have absolutely nothing to fear from Jim either.
  21. I've avoided this kit for years, but I might need to get one if it's possible to build a model from it this nice! I've always had a thing for these Crosleys- my father owns a 1:1 '47 Crosley, the previous owner removed the roof and doors and made it into a kind of makeshift roadster pickup. That guy would drive it to the golf course every weekend... and used the Crosley as his cart upon arrival, if you believe that. Yes, the thing is tiny.
  22. Couldn't agree more, especially with this sentence in particular.
  23. It always seemed to me that they were using the Monogram name on their 'bargain' priced kits and reissues, and of course they kept the name on Tom Daniel reissues. I actually asked Revell about this, and the answer I got was as follows- There is no hard and fast rule- both brands have made very good, premium kits over the years. But we do try when we can to put a Revell brand on a Revell kit and a Monogram brand on a Monogram kit.
