  1. As has been said- the Lindberg '64 Dodge would be an ideal chassis donor. When Tom Coolidge (Promolite 2000) mastered his '61 Fury he offered an extra hood so that builders could cut it open and use that kit for the chassis. That same chassis will work under quite a few Mopars of the era- same goes for the '64 Belvedere. The engine from either of those kits would work, too.
  2. AMT '74 Plymouth GTX. None of the ones I've built have turned out well for me, for whatever reason.
  3. There can NOT be very many stock Willys coupes left in the wild at this point. Refreshing to see one restored stock.
  4. You do realize this is a model with a styrene body... so, again, no rust... Love how this came out, Tom. This one is my favorite of all the models I've seen built from this kit.
  5. Captain Picard had an iPad... back when Next Generation first aired in 1987. Checkmate.
  6. Feeling motivated again... Hodge-podged the engine into something resembling almost complete. Also picked out a wheel/tire setup- robbed these from the new Revell '62 Corvette.
  7. It's a Salt Flats racer, and it's a Jag- I have no choice but to love it.
  8. The local dealer keeps regular cab duallies in stock, so depending on how you want it equipped it might be a special order, but that cab/bed configuration has always been available from Ford.
  9. Looks perfect from here- many of the remaining late '70's GM trucks in Michigan look pretty much like that, plow-equipped or no.
  10. Best build up of this kit I've seen yet. That color scheme just looks so right on it.
  11. 1. 1950-51 Studebaker 'Bullet Nose' coupe 2. 1951 Mercury Coupe 3. 1999- present Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup
  12. I do wish the photos were bigger, but I love the model itself. The Rathman graphics look great.
  13. More than remotely- I've seen a few supercharged straight sixes, two of those being Hudsons. I doubt it's very practical, but it's a model, so I don't need to worry about any potential drivability problems in my case.
  14. Gotta love how out of proportion the custom version looks in that drawing. Almost looks like the roof off a Falcon on it, for Pete's sake.
  15. Looks quite a bit better than the AMT/Ertl kit. I think you did a great job on this.
  16. The clear hood always fit better for me- if you painted the clear custom hood body color it gave the car that totally smooth look that was oh-so-trendy when I first built this kit in the early '90's.
  17. I'll save my pennies by not buying the car.
  18. Think I can get it to sit just an eensy teensy bit lower...?
  19. Love it! I've toyed with the idea of using '50 Olds lights on a Hornet- looks like they look pretty good on the car.
  20. After chopping 6" out of the windshield frame, I thought the body looked just a bit too thick. So... out came three scale inches from the body...
  21. Nice!
  22. Love it! No idea why, but I love Trabants.
  23. Finished the cylinder head and added the ignition system-
  24. Ditto- as a former Advance employee, I routinely trash everything they send.
