  1. I vote for building it as a tractor- it just looks awesome leading off that trailer.
  2. Won't be much left, I think the color will also work well on an AMT White Western Star semi I'm working on, and that will more than likely kill the rest of the can.
  3. Never heard of a Chia Charger- that thing's got to be rare.
  4. Lovely looking car.
  5. Huh- guess it's a bit closer to 'not stock' than I remembered...
  6. I've never seen those specific valve covers, but I'm with Brian- it does appear to be a '69/70 Boss 429 with a late-model EFI retrofit.
  7. The aftermarket stuff is pretty good, but you can also make your own by robbing the rotor/caliper casting from a kit and making your own hub and wheel studs from pieces of styrene rod.
  8. Kind of what I thought. Funny- stopped at the Ithaca post again today, and nobody knows where the new Caprice is. Even though every other police agency in the county knows about it- it's the only Caprice in Gratiot County. Anyway- managed to get a few more... And here's a link to an album of Michigan police cars on my Fotki- I plan to update it as frequently as I can- http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/11-reference-pictures/gratiot-county-cop-car/
  9. I so far have not been able to track down Ithaca's new Caprice, but I did get a shot of their current Impala, as well as a 'retired' Gratiot County Ford. This is an older car- the current Gratiot county cars are solid black. The Ithaca cars were blue for a while, but they now run black Impalas, as it seems that the blue ones went for way less money at auction when they were taken out of service. Question- do the police Impalas come without front hubcaps? I ask because this and the other two Ithaca cars have hubcaps on the rear wheels only.
  10. I remember he did one that was styled to look like a Nash Metropolitan. Seems weird the guy who built The Shark would have such a fixation with Metros.
  11. I'd have to agree with that, Lee.
  12. Jimmy Flintstone already casts such an animal- it's a full on custom Airflow with a sealed hood and the windows cast shut called the Rareflow. It was also sold as a Testors/Model Master kit. It has a really goofy looking roof, but if you replaced it with a more conventional looking roof it would work great for a custom Airflow.
  13. Love it! The Beetle is my favorite Tamiya kit, hands down.
  14. Why is it called scratchbuilt or built from scratch, when it's made of plastic or metal, or some other material other than scratch?
  15. A certain Canadian fellow? Yes, I'm awaiting a response to that as well.
  16. Not sure where you are seeing that- out-of-box the kit has one battery- on the passenger's side, with the coolant/washer solvent tank on the opposite. If you wanted to model a dual-battery truck you'd need to relocate the tank and put a second battery in its place. That's basically what Ford did on the diesels. Sucky part is, being a Monogram kit, both the battery and tank are molded to the inner fender/core support structure. I've seen a couple of gas-powered F-series trucks from this body style with dual batteries as well, but I can't tell you for sure if Ford offered dual batteries on gas powered trucks or if those were owner-installed setups. I heard Ma's Resin was working on a 7.3 IH/Ford diesel, but I don't think it's available for sale yet.
  17. Never thought I'd say this about a Citation (1:1 or small scale), but that looks great.
  18. X2. Tim's advice on not using superglue on (or near the vicinity of) clear and chrome parts is valid, but if you prefer that method, using Future on the glass beforehand helps make the fume fog easier to remove if it happens as the glue sets up.
  19. Well, specifically I meant my particular kit is incomplete, as it is missing the tires, lamps, dash, and quite a few other key bits (it was cannibalized at one point to repair a broken older build by a previous owner). So incomplete above and beyond an untouched kit.
  20. The Motormax Super Cruiser would be the closest thing to an F-750, for an '07 you'd need to update the grille and (maybe) interior. No idea on a Cat C7, I know I've never seen one in scale, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
  21. I don't think it's an actual model- it might be one of Harry's design renderings. But yes, it is a Merc.
