I did look at a resin '69 Marauder once, which I was told was done by Frontier. Body was inconsistent in thickness and looked a tad 'lumpy' in spots. Think along the lines of a recent R&R casting.

Have you considered sending a PM to the guys involved with the project? Maybe they just haven't noticed the recent activity on the thread. A few of them may have given up on it, maybe letting them know its finally out of project purgatory will re-light the fire.

What I really can't stand is when that type of 'engineering' (if you can call it that) is glorified, which it is in some circles. I don't care how shiny or shabby it looks. If it isn't safe, it should not be used on public roads. I don't want to drive it, and I certainly don't want to share the road with it.

All that's missing is a scrunchie on the shift knob.

I'll take your word for it. Haven't poked around in a Badman kit in years. Still, it was pretty realistic compared to, say, the Dragon Wagon or the Horn Toad! (By the way, I wouldn't mind seeing the Horn Toad reissued...)

Here are a few I could re-ignite- Esci Ford Transit- haven't touched it in just a tad over a year. AMT Deuce 3-window conversion (started by someone else, re-started by me) haven't touched it in a year and a half. '62 Buick on shortened wheelbase with a Chevy bubble top. OR...???? '66 Packard mild custom?

Not in love with the shape of the rear windows, but the rest I like. Might need some heavier duty springs in back, though.

I don't think I "get" it, but do kind of like it. I'm picturing a hellaflush VW Golf with a rusty hood and stickered hatch as I type this.

I can't speak for this particular kit, but the chopped version? Love it. Yeah, it's a bit crude, but it just looks sooooooo kewel when done up right. Kind of like the real Model T, come to think of it.

I keep picturing the wheels and tires from the yellow one on the gray one. Does that make me twisted?

Rob- one question- would there be any cutoff for how long the project has been stalled or unfinished? I have some projects that hopelessly stalled two weeks ago, and some that hopelessy stalled two years ago. I know we'd need to employ some kind of 'Scout's Honor' thing when talking about how long the project had been stalled, but just curious anyway.

Uuuuuhhhhh.... How would being accurate have anything to do with how well it builds?
