  1. Beautiful buildup of one of my all-time favorite trucks.
  2. I thought Norm did make a B-400? Or am I thinking of the Sport Coupe?
  3. That caught my eye as well. Dig it! I just hope Curtis is a non-smoker if he's cruising around with all that in the back seat!
  4. I just wonder if it will top 88 mph.
  5. Absolutely beautiful.
  6. Bah... Those can all be explained away by the Metric system. Wait, no, then that would make the windows .003" too short, the side trim .0005 too thin, but somehow the wheel openings end up bigger.
  7. http://inhabitat.com/all-electric-delorean-car-to-hit-the-streets-in-2013/
  8. I know I cut the top off the Ice T, but other than that and the scoop I have no idea where the rest of the kit went.
  9. Nice to see someone else doing untoward things with that Black Widow kit! Working on one of those as well myself. Hopefully I'll have enough progress to make posting pics here Saturday worth the effort.
  10. Did find pics of the RMCoM US Royals- can't see in the photo how they fortified the tread but it does say 'now w/ bias-ply tread', so they must have improved over the originals-
  11. That, and the fenders were warped to beat the band...
  12. UNLESS the vehicle has an aftermarket (Moog, Dorman, etc.) control arm. Then you can replace just the ball joint... WITH the special Moog or Dorman ball joint made for that replacement control arm, and at about twice the cost of what a regular, non-replacement-arm ball joint would cost!
  13. I was going to say 'yes', but then I realized the one I foiled was the newer 1:25 'Street Burners' issue, which is based off the old Sofseal-decaled kit. That one wasn't too bad, but the grille/front bumper detail isn't quite as intricate on that one.
  14. Jeez... I wasn't going to buy the other mag's contest annual this year, now I just might have to.
  15. Art- I'm not seeing a pic.
  16. And there's still the matter of this one (about all I've done is glue the hood on and foil the trim)...
  17. I'll be Seth Rogan.
  18. It would be a bit smaller being 1:25- if you displayed it with your 1:24 trucks, only the most sharp-eyed of observers (or observers who are familiar with truck kits) would be able to spot the difference.
  19. I say "Not it" on donning Robin's hot pants....
  20. Wha???? Does he has to access them via the tailpipe or something?
  21. Heard that! Getting a car body to look like it has sat in an overgrown fencerow for thirty years takes just as much prep, planning, and exectution (perhaps even moreso) as a 'just buffed 'er out for the AMBR contest, mirror-gloss shine. The time and effort are just spent in other areas. And I've still seen some questionable bodywork under flat finishes too- and I'm not talking about intentional flaws either, I'm talking things like glue thumbprints and smudges.
  22. You have no idea....
  23. Since the Revell-Monogram cab is a '50, and Ford used the same cab from '48 to '52, why not try listing it as a '48 next time? Most judges at the shows I have been to didn't have any idea what they're looking at in the first place, and it would be 'technically' correct to refer to it as a '48 anyway... But anyway- I would love to see a flat or suede category. The only issue then would be, would 'rusty' or 'weathered' vehicles be included in that group as well, or would the rustbuckets get their own category? I can see someone with a flat-painted car taking offense to a rusty model beating his entry, or vice-versa.
