  1. I hear Beavis and Butthead is supposed to come back.
  2. Strangely, I actually had some Nash wheel covers in my parts boz! They're a little on the crude side, and I have no idea what they came from, but I've had them for three or four years, and what the heck else was I gonna use 'em on? And finished up the plumbing on the turbo.
  3. Sealab 2021 and Space Ghost Coast To Coast were pretty good as well.
  4. Here are the RepMinCo pieces- These are the stock bezels, the custom ones omit the parking lamps and sport a vertical ribbed pattern. He also does some killer '53 Buick side trim.
  5. Just saw what Juha Airio did with his. Wow. Remember- this is a CURBSIDE KIT WITH A SEALED HOOD AND A 'COASTER' CHASSIS. Again, all I can say is, wow...
  6. Was this the Juha Airio Rambler mentioned earlier? It's a '56 sedan, but seeing how this guy operates he could have started with this kit. This guy is like the MacGyver of modeling!
  7. I used to watch Spongebob, but I much prefered Invader Zim. Nowadays, the Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park are the main ones, and I still check out Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Robot Chicken if I stay up late enough.
  8. No,no, no... you're thinking of Syd Barrett.
  9. Even if they were straight repops of the promos (missing interiors and all) I'd be up for several of them. Sweeten the pot a bit and that'll just make it better!
  10. Cant vouch for the Modelhaus stuff, but Replicas and Miniatures does carry them- they come with the bezel, lenses, and stock or custom inserts.
  11. They were built ten years apart, but they appear very identical, the smokestacks being the main differences. There's actually a pretty famous photo of the two ships together= http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c9/United_States_and_America.jpg
  12. I've always been a fan of inline sixes, and now that there's a 308 Hudson mill in scale, I'm having a little fun with that one- This one is box stock other than the wiring, and painted in non-stock colors. Next one's gonna have a Paxton centrifugal huffer!
  13. Well, they did have the 2006 GT kit out in late 2005. But it's all been downhill from there.
  14. Sam Tate just posted a few pics of the Hornet 308 he built out of box in the "Hornet's Nest" thread. This is the one I've built- wired, and painted in non-stock colors
  15. This isn't really a Hornet per se, but I'm using a few of the Hornet parts I won't be using on another Hudson project...
  16. Yep, that's why I said 1:25, the R/M CJ-7 engine actually isn't too bad, but its 1:24. The engine in the old Revell J-10 isn't too bad, and 1:25, but when I say its 'not too bad' I mean it's 'not too good' either!
  17. Killer engne, Sam! yeah- the next run of kits will have a white backer so the yellow won't disappear against the air cleaners.
  18. Like I've said- when it comes to Revell new releases, I believe it when I see it... On the other hand, the kit itself sounds promising. I was thinking it would be more of a factory-stock kit, but it appears it will have quite a few other interesting goodies beyond just the notch body.
  19. Regarding the earlier mentions of appropriate engines, here goes... http://www.allpar.com/mopar/amc-engines.html In typical Alpar.com fashion, you'll come away with more info than you ever wanted.
  20. I've really been pouring over this site lately. REALLY like these http://www.archertransfers.com/AR99003A.html They're so creepy, I've GOT to pick up a sheet of them!
  21. Zombie- now we're talkin'! Looks fine to me.
  22. That explains the singed-hair smell... No, started that a few months back, just dug out some skirts for it and fine-tuned the fit of the chassis into the body. Might get done next week, might sit a couple more months. Who knows? Not I, that's for sure.
  23. I was considering AMC power, but I don't have a Jeep inline six anymore ( ) and besides, it would actually be a smaller-displacement than the 308 in the Hornet anyway. I ruled out an AMC V8, because almost all the AMC V8s in 1:25 scale are junk. I am leaning toward Chrysler power, though. Being that Hudson/AMC got rolled into Chrysler, that would be a legitimate choice for preserving the 'brand heritage', too.
  24. Might have been a different pattern or texture to the upholstery depending on how the car was optioned out, too. I've seen a couple of '54 Hollywoods with very different interior and seat patterns from the '53, though I'm not sure at all if the interior stuff differed at all between the Hornet and Hollywood, much less the lower-line Hudson models. In any case, I'd love to see somebody master a '54 transkit for the '52/53 kit- and no, I'm not volunteering for that duty!
