  1. Sweet! I need to get re-started on my horses!
  2. Did some of the body on the ambulance- will need a roof, and a few other doodads, but here's today's progress-
  3. Where's that Yost guy????
  4. Skip- I see the Petty versions fairly regularly up for sale, the ones I've seen have fallen into roughly the 10 to 20 dollar range, depending on condiion, sealed or open box, etc. .
  5. Forgive me for bringing up yet another DOH piece, but isn't the MPC '74 Road Runner missing its 'plumage' as well?
  6. Tough to tell- it would be a matter of how close the two kits are. They are both 1:25 scale, but being they were tooled by two different companies a decade and a half apart, using the PE stuff meant for the AMT kit on the Revell may or may not be a direct fit. They could be perfect fits or they could be a bit off.
  7. Looks very production-worthy, though I think Dodge would have gotten rid of the Ford wagon liftgate as the windshield! Love these kinds of "what if" builds.
  8. I don't know- people love Chargers, no matter how mechanically unremarkable they may be. (Oh, I went and did it there, didn't I? ) Is it a Mopar thing, perhaps? Seems like the guys who restore Mopars 'sweat the details' to make them as-new once restored- chalk marks on the firewall, battery cable overspray, etc. I stopped reading Mopar-specific mags years ago because I was tired of article after article of Concours restoration guidelines.
  9. And yet, when somebody builds a Batmobile, nobody bashes if for not having the 'correct' turbine engine. Nobody hems and haws over what shate of red the stripes on the A-Team's van should be. Nobody notices if the shade of tan the interior is off a bit on your Knight Two Thousand. But for whatever reason DOH fans are rabid about the details. Why? Dunno, just seems like that to me.
  10. I'm already forming a bond with the Michigan State Trooper Charger- VERY familiar with those.
  11. This will be cool! Glad to see you stepping out of the shadows!
  12. Love every inch of it!
  13. I'm afraid to post now, but I will say I have no idea!
  14. Holy seizure! That hasn't happened in a while.
  15. Drove over a broken piece of a rat-tail file. Yep- not a nail. Not a screw, not a sharp stone. A broken rat-tail file! Note that the techinque works best only on hollow, pneumatic tires. 16. I'm just suprised I haven't grown tired of this! (Emoticon representing me re-writing "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith to "Sweet Emoticon" here.)
  17. Nope- Norm still does not maintain a website. I've seen others post images of his stuff, but not sure if I've seen the carbs.
  18. Forgot all about the old Red Baron sponsored cars until now, this one looks great!
  19. Gawd- ain't THAT the truth! (Emoticon representing approval.)
  20. And FOUR POUNDS, no less! Sounds like somebody's gonna have a lot of fun.
  21. George is right, they're beautifully cast and even come with wire to detail the venturri!
  22. Yummy- so citrus-y sweet it's burning my nose! I love it all, but I have to say the underhood detailing is fantastic.
  23. Yeah- trouble is, you jack up the truck and turn the wheel, then set the truck back down, the flat goes right back to the bottom!
  24. Took the words right out of my mouth! Yeah, opening doors and trunk would be nice in this scale, but as has been said, how much would that add to the price? I think that's about the only reason most kits, even the larger scale versions, do not include such features. Some of the old AMT and MPC kits featured this, but the jamb detail and hinges were almost afterthoughts. Yeah, today, I'm sure it could be done more convincingly, but at what price point? A sealed hood would be ridiculous, but since all of the models I build spend 99.9% of their time with any operable panels they may have closed, I can live without those features. Besides, there's always the option of opening them up myself if I so fancy!
