  1. It's the second on that list for me (right after the Ertl Transtar Race Truck).
  2. Well, this 'quick little warmup' has turned out to be anything but- the truck is done, the trailer is stalled, and I'm not sure if I want ot build someting specifically for the trailer queen or use it to display some existing models. I'm toying with the idea of making a chopped fifth wheel camper or 'toy hauler' to hook up to the truck. Something like this, only a fifth-wheel model. Whadya think?
  3. Oh, dear, another!
  4. Balsa foam rusts blades? Huh. That solves one of my workbench mysteries.
  5. They're both in the paint stripper now, so I guess we'll see!
  6. I'd say it looks like a pretty fair cross section, and I do recognize the work of a couple of guys.
  7. Didn't they run Oldsmobile engines as well? Or was that earlier on? (Or never at all?)
  8. Yep, it was in Hot Rod. Don't remember the Holden IRS, but I do remember they had to stretch the nose 6" to fit the Caprice chassis under it. They also had a 4ws Camaro and a Caprice with a BMW V12. Odd stuff, but all cool! I'm suprised Revell never did a snap kit of the '00-up Bonneville using the Impala cop car chassis, those were among the few later-model GM designs I liked.
  9. Funny thing is- this is the SECOND AMT '62 Connie I've nabbed this year! The first one was still in the box, and had the front and rear pans glued on. I rebuilt in in on the work bench a while ago. I'm gunning toward getting at least one AMT Lincoln from '61-'69. So far, I've only got the '61, '63, '64, '66, '67, and '68 to go!
  10. Well, might one of these work? Just got them today as part of a trade deal, '62 Lincoln Continental (AMT annual), and Jo-Han '60 Plymouth wagon. The wagon may end up getting 'spliced' with a resin kit I butchered not too long ago.
  11. Got an original AMT '62 Lincoln Continental annual, rough built up but very workable- And a built up Jo-Han '60 Plymouth wagon, again, rough but workable-
  12. Here are a few- some are stand-alones, some are parts of a series, but all are technically finished.
  13. Sweet! I need to get re-started on my horses!
  14. Did some of the body on the ambulance- will need a roof, and a few other doodads, but here's today's progress-
  15. Where's that Yost guy????
  16. Skip- I see the Petty versions fairly regularly up for sale, the ones I've seen have fallen into roughly the 10 to 20 dollar range, depending on condiion, sealed or open box, etc. .
  17. Forgive me for bringing up yet another DOH piece, but isn't the MPC '74 Road Runner missing its 'plumage' as well?
  18. Tough to tell- it would be a matter of how close the two kits are. They are both 1:25 scale, but being they were tooled by two different companies a decade and a half apart, using the PE stuff meant for the AMT kit on the Revell may or may not be a direct fit. They could be perfect fits or they could be a bit off.
  19. Looks very production-worthy, though I think Dodge would have gotten rid of the Ford wagon liftgate as the windshield! Love these kinds of "what if" builds.
  20. I don't know- people love Chargers, no matter how mechanically unremarkable they may be. (Oh, I went and did it there, didn't I? ) Is it a Mopar thing, perhaps? Seems like the guys who restore Mopars 'sweat the details' to make them as-new once restored- chalk marks on the firewall, battery cable overspray, etc. I stopped reading Mopar-specific mags years ago because I was tired of article after article of Concours restoration guidelines.
  21. And yet, when somebody builds a Batmobile, nobody bashes if for not having the 'correct' turbine engine. Nobody hems and haws over what shate of red the stripes on the A-Team's van should be. Nobody notices if the shade of tan the interior is off a bit on your Knight Two Thousand. But for whatever reason DOH fans are rabid about the details. Why? Dunno, just seems like that to me.
  22. I'm already forming a bond with the Michigan State Trooper Charger- VERY familiar with those.
  23. This will be cool! Glad to see you stepping out of the shadows!
  24. Love every inch of it!
