  1. I know a couple of Coca-Cola fanatics who have all of the old AMT Coke kits, as well as the new Lindberg releases. Are they ever going to build them? Nope. But there's a huge market for Coke collectibles, and these kits fall into that realm.
  2. Like it! Glad you chose not to incorporate the side pipes.
  3. I know the Double Dragster tin has tinted glass and printed whitewalls and new tool, pad-printed slicks, but the standard, cardboard-box version does not. Personally, paying extra just for a collectible tin box isn't worth it, but if it includes a few extra bells and whistles, I'll be more inclined to pick a couple up, like I did with the tin Double Dragster release!
  4. Tasty! I've said it a thousand times, gotta have this kit!
  5. Yeah, the kits themselves were usually far from great, but the subject matter was terrific. A shame there will likely never be another significant Jo-Han 'comeback tour'.
  6. Well, one thing I can't say is 'clean build'. Love it though!
  7. Okay, now I see it. Yep, just took me back to this thread.
  8. Neither do I- all I can see is the 'Follow This Topic' button in the upper left corner.
  9. And as an aside- "First Hudson stock car will be a Model King exclusive 1952 Tim Flock Hornet. Hoping for late September, may be early October though." Close enough to taste it!!!!!
  10. Not completely on topic, but since they're bringing back a number of the IH truck/tractor kits, why not the Scout SSII and Off Road versions. I think it's about time!
  11. Those headers are from a Revell Beatnik Bandit.
  12. The Model King/AMT '70 Wildcat has similar wheels, not sure if they are the Buick-specific style or the Magnum 500s, but if I recall, they're a bit smallish on the diameter.
  13. Indeed, though there was quite a bit of hand-fabbed stuff on it, no doubt! The roof was actually made from Ford station wagon pieces (the front 'hatch is a '63/4 Ford wagon liftgate), and the exhaust outlets on the sides are '65/6 Mustang taillamp bezels. There's actually a guy doing a recreation of the Deora (he might even have it done now, I heard of this a few years back), and he's doing it exactly the way the A-Bros did it-
  14. I NEED one of these! Or at least that engine!!!!
  15. Batty... The Deora did actually start out as an A-100, though, and the A-Bros made it look pretty with a ton of Ford parts. Other than the fact the engine is missing an air cleaner, it is a very complete and nicely detailed piece for its era.
  16. A day late, but I was wrapped up in a couple of projects yesterday! This is a '61/'63 Rambler American, the AMT 'Rambler' slammer kit on an AMT '66 Nova Pro Street chassis. Or how about a 1910 Studebaker Hot Rod? It's the old 1:32 Minicraft kit with a chopped top, scatchbuilt frame, and a few choice bits from a Revell Edelbrock Midget. And what I hope will eventually be a 'pro-street' style Revell Gran Turismo. Yes, those are the wheels and tires from the Ramblur. And of course I'm still plugging along on the Buick.
  17. I passed on this kit when it was on clearnace at Wal Mart, because it looked like it would be too much of a pain to convert back to stock, or close enough to stock to be a drag car. Looking at that chassis, kinda glad I turned it down!
  18. I've never even seen the Bud kit... now I MUST have one!
  19. And getting rid of the stock windshield fixes one of this kit's main issues- the fact that the glass DOES NOT fit in the frame very well at all!
  20. I'd like to see them do a set of stock tires as well, like the old Satco Redlines, Gold lines, and wide whites. One of the many reasons I'm hoping Round 2 sells a TON of these!
  21. Beautiful buildup of a beautiful car. Yep, and this is one of their best kits.
  22. Love it! Must ask- where did those wheels come from?
  23. Can you hear me now?
