Coolest buildup of the Revell Lightning I've seen in a long time! Nice work. -

Another thought to throw some gas on the "chopped or unchopped" debate on the '48- I do plan on trying to 'unchop' at least one of these kits when it comes out, though with my luck, an unchopped resin body will become available about ten seconds after I struggle to finish mine! (Kinda surprised there isn't a stock-top coupe bod for the existing '48 ragtop, now that I ponder it... ) Won't be a cakewalk, but you never know, it might be easier and end up looking beter than adding an IMC top to the Revell ragtop kit (which I have also considered, and so far haven't tried). Yeah, I do think that maybe kitting an unchopped coupe would have given the car a bit more appeal, but since this issue seems to be geared more toward the custom builder, I personally can live with the built-in chop! -

Hey, yo! C to the K! You's right about the chopped Fo-Eight! I don't know why ya'll peeps be buggin! So sweet it scats sugar indeed, and so so ravashing in it's period custom goodness that it whizzes rainbows! (Best I could do on under the circumstances...) -
I'm just shocked a real car was used in a Michael Bay movie, much less destroyed- that hack doesn't know how to make a movie without that 21st century filmmaking crutch, CGI. Strangely, considering all that's happened, I'm not even happy a Camaro was destroyed, something which usually makes me all giddy.

CAUTION!!!! If you built one rat rod, you WILL build more... Very nice build of one of the greatest model kits EVER, too, by the way!

Well, you could always run the Moon caps on one side, and the barenekkid steelies on the other. I actually saw a '40 Ford Tudor with 16" steelies and wide whites on the driver's side and big n' little billets/low-pro rubber on the passenger's side. Great option for the truly indecisive.

That's a shame, because the box art model looks pretty cool. Well, at least as cool as an "Italianized" Pinto possibly could... -
Lots of thoughtful touches on this one, and it doesn't hurt that the model is very cool as well.

Quite a few all time favorites for me in the big rig class! Ford C-series medium duty COE (You know, the 'bucktoothed' '57 style) Ford LTL series (The Lincoln Town Car of the Semi Tractors) Ford Aeromax (The, uh... Lincoln Mark VIII of the Semi Tractors) Internationals in General (From Loadstars to Payhaulers) Any Ol' Diamond T or Diamond Reo Ford H-Series Cabover (kind of like a C-series with platform boots) And a few others probably too weird to post here...

Ford Ranger kit
Chuck Most replied to Cody Martin's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
AMT also did a '95 Ranger XLT, it's identical to the earlier STX kit other than the '95 spec grille, interior (with a new dash and separate side panels) and wheels. The custom body kit was also tweaked a bit and the decal sheet was different. Here's the '95 kit's contents- http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/kit-contents/amtertl-95-ford-ran/ -
The weathering isn't even done yet. I'm also considering leaving the graphics off the car, or replacing them with something a little more forum-friendly than the original doodlings. The unobstructed view of the crusty old body is growing on me, so I think I may go the first route.

Inspirations for the AMT DD

Very cool, but I'm a bit more intrigued by that '56 Chevy push truck! -
Glad I could contribute in some small way to this masterpiece, John! Since I can't put into words what I think about this model, I'll just let one of those motivational posters do the talkin'... Now, I've got to wonder what you'll do with the rest of that Lincoln kit...

I'd say just go with basic white and gold- 90% of the old camper rigs you see are done up that way... or what about Krylon Hunter's Camo?

Uh, Lyle... I want a Black Widow. So what you're saying is, even though I'm not even 30, I must be over 60? I mean, they say sixty is the new forty, but come ON... -
Looks way better than any of the Hubley kits I've built (i.e.-none!). After seeing this, I might just have to give a die cast kit a go. As always, very cool model, Tom!

Ah, one of the 'forgotten Falcons'. Honest, nobody seems to remember the later Falcons (and NOBODY remembers the '70 Fairlane-based Falcon!), and this one's a drag car? Very cool. I don't possibly see how you could go wrong here!

Must...have...that...Checker.... Guys- check out STAR Models- he sells R&R resin, and might have one in stock!

Looks like a pretty sweet project! And yeah, I've often been bummed when the kit didn't even come close to what the box art showed! More times than I care to count... -
First one I've seen in blue besides the box-art car! One of these days I'm going to build the 428 in Competition Orange, and do a phantom convertible version.
