  1. Very cool... I hope 'my last build' doesn't mean this is the last one you'll build!
  2. This one will be cool!
  3. I like where this one's going- AWB drag cars are cool!
  4. Looks quite a bit more spendy than I'd like, but a beautiful car never the less!
  5. Here's my latest 'stalled project finished in just a few hours' model... a '56 VW rod I started about a year ago, and just finished up last night. Amazing how fast they get finished when you actually WORK on them, isn't it? The Gunze Sangyo body is chopped beyond recognition with '27 T fenders, and the early Ford front axle has the '56 wheels while the rear axle carries Heller Citroen truck wheels. I made up the pipes from solder, and used parts box junk for all the rest. Here's a link to the whole buildup-http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/rat-alley/56-volksrod/ Thanks!
  6. It comes with the Revell Shelby Series 1 kit- though it's molded to a late model Corvette torque tube/rear mounted transaxle setup. I cut all that stuff off and added a regular 6-speed transmission from a C4 'Vette. Thanks guys!
  7. Can't go wrong with a Studie... nicely done!
  8. I'll keep my eye on this- I've got the reissued boat kit somewhere, and I just need a little prodding to build it!
  9. I've always wanted this kit, but seeing this one has convinced me I don't want it. No... I NEED one!
  10. Looking better all the time!
  11. Not this kit, but I do have a 'Vair powered rod in the works. "Stay Tuned" is all I'll say for now...
  12. I'll be buying a couple for sure.
  13. That green looks killer on those Cutlass flanks. I think I've got a bottle of nail polish in that same color- haven't tried spraying it on a car yet.
  14. Best '65 GP model I've ever seen, period! Incredible job on this one.
  15. I'd say it's looking good, but that would be an understatement! I've got to try my hand at a fire rig one of these days.
  16. My first glue kit was an AMT T-Bird Stock Car- Rusty Wallace Coors car if I recall, and it was way over my head at the time! Of course, I built it right after I finished that Fox Mustang snapper, so maybe I was trying to move along with my skills a bit too fast!
  17. One o' these bad lads... This isn't the actual first one, that one's long gone, but I picked this up a year or so ago as a reminder of how far I've come in my hobby!
  18. Nope- just the old Jo-Han kit...
  19. No kits, but I did get the Grabber hood for my Maverick from Bandit Resins today. Now I've just got to get the motivation to finish the car.
  20. I just don't want to do the same thing everybody else is doing. As Car & Driver's John Phillips once put it- "Some people think of things that don't exist and ask 'why not'. I think of things that do exist and ask 'why this?"
  21. Couldn't agree more, Mark. Anything you can do with a Model T kit, you can do with this one, and have something very unique!
  22. This was inspired by a Tim Boyd article in some other model car magazine (the one without "Model(s)" or "Car(s)" in the title ), where he converted a 4-door Chrysler wagon into a 2-door. Of course, I somehow took Tim's idea and ended up with... a '61 Olds sedan delivery. While the subject and style are totally different, just goes to show you don't need to follow the article 100%! The highlights include a C4 Corvette suspended '66 pro street Nova chassis rolling on Phantom Vicky Halibrands, the 4-door wagon to 2-door SD conversion, and of course, that 4.0 Aurora V8 backed up by a six-speed manual tranny. Should be just the thing for an express delivery, you think?
  23. This is just simply a quick, weekend boredom killer, the buildup of which I chronicled on the H.A.M.B. I guess my new hobby is seeing how many ways I can mutilate the Beverly Hillbillies kit! I scratchbuilt the top and the front 1/3 or so of the chassis, dropped in an Olds 215 V8 from a '61 F-85, and added a grille from a Heller Citroen because it kind of looked like an old Indy car grille shell. The rest is all parts box junk and cast-offs from other projects. Here's how it went together- http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/hot-rods-1/21-olds-coupe/
