  1. Great stance, and that green looks VERY good on it!
  2. Ah, the last of the De Sotos! Another of my all-time faves.
  3. Yes, forgot about the lefthanded screwdrivers, but I've never had anyone ask for non-adjustable Crescent wrenches or "3-in-1" paint!
  4. Wow... all those customers of mine at the shop I called fools were asking for products that do, in fact, exist! A bit off topic (well, I guess this whole THREAD is off topic, really...), the parts place I used to work for was a few blocks from a college campus, and the various houses there would initiate thier new members by, among other things, sending new members in and having them ask for things like muffler bearings and blinker fluid. It was pretty funny... for us!
  5. Of course, I post something in 'On The Workbench', and it decides to take a little side trip to Limbo for a while! Hopefully, that'll change sometime this week...
  6. That is turing out very cool. I've never hacked into a die cast model before, and I've got to commend you for that! I wasn't too sure about the way you did the top in the beginning, but the more I see it, the more I'm liking it.
  7. This is quite possibly the ugliest car EVER made... and I love it! Great model!
  8. Hmmm... that must explain all those spares you used to have!
  9. I paid just north of $40 for mine at my LHS... I've seen old reissues of the Munster Coach going for that much or more, so I think I came out alright. Oh, and no shipping, and the fuel I burned is a moot point, because I was on my way home.
  10. Update! Add the resissued tin box Dragula and Munster's Coach to my previous post!
  11. I think it was a Wheel Horse, Gramps, and was in the Lotus Indy Turbine kit by MPC. It was reissued in the mid '90's... again with the tractor, but sans the tractor decals.
  12. I've seen 'chomed bumpers' done with them before, I've also seen guys use the bumpers from a Monogram Stock Car kit, but that would probably cost even more than the foil/Alclad/Spazstix solutions already outlined!
  13. Thanks Mike. Well... the chrome isn't as nice 'in person' as it looks in the photo!
  14. I like gassers, and this is one of my all-time favorite kits, so this one should be a winner in my book.
  15. That's what it looks like, Charlie- the only other '94-style (T-300?) Ram kits were the AMT/Ertl 2500 and 3500s, which had hoods molded closed and the bed was separate from the cab.
  16. Picked up some 'junk box goodies' today, and I'm just curious if anybody could tell me what kits they are from. I think this one might be from a '61-'63 T-Bird kit, from the wheels. The others I have no idea... This one I'm thinking is a Pontiac or Buick- the valve covers look like they could be a Poncho V8 or Buick V6, but are the wrong size to be either! Unless they're supposed to be halves to a Moon tank, or something.
  17. AMT '66 T-Bird "Customizing" edition, '69 Buick Riviera, '75 AMC Matador Stock Car, Monogram Olds Aerotech, Fujimi Mechanic figures, and a couple boxes full of spare junk I'll have to invent a use for!
  18. That explains why the Graham/Hupps weren't nearly as graceful as the Cord- with all the 'reproportioning' which had to go on.
  19. I think this one came from Wal-Nut, and I bought a second one off e-Bay which was gray, but all the others I've bought at hobby shops were white.
  20. I built this one way back when Lindberg first reissued the L-700 with the trailer and '40 Ford, and molded the whole mess in dark gray plastic. I used the back half of the trailer for the truck's platform, and strecthed the chassis with new rails made from Plastruct C-channel. Not quite up to my current standards of detail or build quality, but I still like it! The F-350 was painted with the same can of Orange, just over gray plastic on the Dodge and white on the Ford. But the Ford's a story for another time!
  21. I for one would love to see the bikes reissued- they might just have a broader appeal than the engines. Then again, what do I know? I snap up parts packs like a mad man whenever I see them!
  22. I showed these to my 4x4 building buddies last night, and yeah... they flipped!
  23. I used to have that kit... those wheels shown on the box are not even included with it! It only had the stock wheels! Funny thing is, there's what appears to be a '57 Chevy rear bumper on the chrome sprue, too.
  24. He's correct- 1998 copyright date, right around the time 'Revel-O-Gram' was using both names. Great engines... well, not so much the Chev!
