  1. All the issues of the USA-1 kit I've ever seen had the '90-'93 Silverado grille with the composite headlamps. I don't think the W/T grille was ever offered in the kits.
  2. It is kind of funny to me, they won't let their precious name be used on a model kit, yet they slather it all over the worst, most poorly made workboots you can buy! Hope they go bankrupt... (And I don't mean the 'good' kind of bankrupt, like GM. )
  3. These aren't mine (they're my father's), but I'd love to see any one of them in kit form! (Yea... dream on, Chuckie... )
  4. If you can find the old All American grille from the early '90's, that might save you a little work. The headlamps for converting to the dual halogen W/T style would be easier- I think getting the grille inserts to look right would be a bit more of a challenge!
  5. I've got a few ideas in mind for this one...
  6. I think I may have a little too much time on my hands...
  7. It appears Mr. Ross has spilled the beans on Japan's latest "Japanimation" hit-"Smiley, the Malevolent Mazda".
  8. So I guess what you guys are saying is- I just need to start thinking positive?
  9. Who approved this design? Who... WHO, I ask you!????
  10. You're correct either way, Mark! And yes, a great build it is!
  11. Careful when you go to paint it- some paints will eat foam. I'd reccomend acrylics.
  12. Nick HAS been improving by quite a bit, and I'll say that he's a better builder at his age now than I was when I was 20. Sheez- I've been building models for 22 years (since the ripe old age of six) and I'm improving and learning new stuff constantly. Imagine where Nick will be when he's 28, if he keeps up his current pace and pushes himself go get just a little bit better with every build!
  13. I'd have bought the kits. AND the can of paint.
  14. Yep- they came from the AMT '58 Impala.
  15. I could agree, but those wheel covers you see in the photos may be temporary.
  16. Yes, she's available with or without the over the shoulder boulder holders, but for some reason, the topless one is the only one pictured on the site. Wait, I guess I probably KNOW the reason! The 'decent' Double Dip Deb is virtually identical to the topless one except for the top.
  17. They are pretty rare any place I guess, but I know of four in my immediate area- and I live about a mile north of the middle of nowhere. The sad thing is, two are '61/'62 models with the freestanding headlamps, and the guy is just letting them rust away under some trees.
  18. Looks way better than my hardtop build!
  19. That had to be a rare car over on the other end of the Atlantic! And a real joy to fill up!
  20. My god, what have they done... it's uglier than a Zimmer!
  21. Yeah, I was thinking orange over black, or yellow over black, but I just went with School Bus Yellow all the way 'cuz I'm a lazy oaf!
  22. Nope- it says Metro. I couldn't have made the letters that nice and in scale! I was going to BMF the letters, then paint and polish the paint off the letters, but I forgot and had to foil them after paint, and I SUCK at cutting stuff like lettering!
  23. Today's Haul, pretty light compared to the usual. Aoshima '95 Toyota 4x4 pickup Tamiya BMW Z3 and a busted up builtup MPC '32 Chevy Panel (Oh, yeah ...) Oh yeah, and the new issue of MCM!
  24. This would be the Motor City Resin Casters kit, with a few hot-rod touches-
