  1. I looked for your 69 Mercury Pickup Decals but can't find them, could you post a photo or a direct link. -Steve
  2. It's getting close to being finished, I do plan to post a few build up photos when I get the chance. Steve
  3. Not yet, Dave showed me the 3D artwork a just a few weeks ago. I don't think they'll be any test shots until later this summer. -Steve
  4. Sure do, here's a quick mock up photo ..... Not sure of the release date yet. And some of the new parts. Keep in mind that some of these parts being shown are intended for other versions other then this one. These are test shot parts and not necessarily the final version. The trees in the lower picture are all new parts including the frame ..... As I make progress I'll post more photos. Steve
  5. The Flareside (stepside) beds are basically the same from 53-72 so they will work on the current Moebius F-100 trucks too. The 65-66 Fleetside beds are unique to that model. According to Dave we'll be getting both styles. -Steve
  6. Yes, the wait for the 4x4 version is almost over. I have a '70 long bed on the workbench as a I write this. Photos of the 4x4 parts will be forthcoming, I'm waiting for Fotki to get back on line. Box art is already in the works. Also we're also getting a 65-66 F-100 based on the on the current kit. Dave got the go ahead just last weekend and I saw the 3D artwork at the NNL East. Test shots of the 65-66 kit may be ready by late this summer. Along with the short and long bed stylesides, we'll be getting a stepside for first time. -Steve
  7. Yes, we're getting 65-66 Ford F100 pickup based on the current 67-72 style kit. Details still not finalized but multiple versions are planned which will include the stepside for the first time. A 4x4 version of the current kit should be out later this year. I have a test shot of that sitting right next to me. More on that 4x4 kit in a separate post soon. -Steve
  8. I'm with Curt on this and I think the majority of resin buyers would never support any of these direct rip-off artists knowingly. If your going to be in the resin casting business, being copied is a chance your going to have to take. I hope you do Paul, life is too short to worry about every worse case scenario. Steve
  9. Nice clean build, well done !!
  10. This is my latest build, a Kansas Highway Patrol 65 Plymouth Belvedere built from the Moebius kit.
  11. There was a display model of the '50 Olds made from an Ertl diecast but nothing other then box art pictures of the Studebaker. It's almost unheard of for kit tooling to be produced and then scrapped instead of being run. The only exception that I'm aware of was Revell's first version of a mid-eighties Cutlass which there were at least one test shot shown at least 10 years ago. It was very simplified compared the recent kit as I recall. Steve
  12. That's for an under-dash set of gauges to be included in a later issue as shown below. -Steve
  13. Well done Greg !!
  14. A real Beauty !!! Thanks for posting them.
  15. Take one Moebius 65 Plymouth Belvedere kit, swap a few parts from the Moebius Satellite and Johan Police Car kits, add a few aftermarket parts along with a few minor modifications and you can make this ... You can see all the build photos in the on the workbench section, just follow the link below. -Steve
  16. ..... continued from yesterday. Once the foil work was completed the body got several coats of my favorite PPG lacquer clear and was set aside to dry. While the clear coat dried I finished detailing the dash by adding a column shift lever and a two way radio. Note the photo color difference between daylight and evening at my workbench. Weird huh ? A test fit of the polished out body to see how it looks on wheels again ... Another shot with the body permanently installed along with the glass. I also started on the single spotlight for the left A-pillar. Here's all the rear bright work installed, note the package shelf lamps Kansas used back then. I would have expected amber or red lenses over yellow but that's what they used. The front bright work was next followed by the hub caps, handles, mirror and the spotlight head with the red lens. The inside handle is sourced from Lindberg's 53 Ford kit. The last pieces of hardware to go on is this four part Federal 17 Beacon. The domed lens and lamps are Johan pieces, the base is resin part and I made the gasket. A whip style antenna will also be added. All it needs now is the graphics and it would be ready to go "In Service" I'll post the finished pics in the under glass section later today .... Steve
  17. Time to catch everone up on my KHP Plymouth project which got interrupted to build a certain Comet model you might have seen posted here a few months ago. I did managed to finish the Plymouth before the end of the year but I failed to post any of the progress so here I go ....I sprayed the headliner first, re-masked the body and shot the Light Grey upper color. Before spraying the lower color the Plymouth lettering was foiled, a light coat of primer was applied and the letters were picked out with a toothpick dipped in thinner. this process will be repeated after the color coats. Here's the finished lower color applied. I normally let my painted bodies sit for a few days before adding the foil trim and then clear coat but you won't have to wait that long since it's already done. Here's the hood after picking out the lettering again. It will really pop once the clear is applied. And here's an in-process shot of applying the foil trim. The window gaskets were done with a fine Sharpie. I'm going to pause here so I don't overload with posting photos, watch for another update very soon. -Steve
  18. Luc, That's always a struggle especially when it comes to plated parts. When I see opportunities to improve the mounting points I will make the suggestions. A lot of times they will make the changes but there are limitations. Sometimes parts have to be grouped a certain way to allow for insert changes for alternate versions. I can say that Moebius car kits have improved since the beginning and they do listen to constructive criticism. -Steve
  19. Here are some more photos of the AFX version 65 Comet Cyclone that will be a future release Moebius made many changes to this version, sharp eyes will spot the body trim differences. The chassis has been revised to get that high suspension stance and that's a new engine bay to house the well done 427 Cammer engine. The interior sports racing bucket seats, a roll bar and a deleted rear seat trim panel. A tach and a 3 gage cluster go above and below the dash respectively. A big thanks to Dave Metzner and the others at Moebius Models for allowing me to early preview this to you. If you want to see a few build in process photos follow the link below. https://public.fotki.com/SteveG26/moebius-projects/page4.html
  20. Looks like another masterpiece in the making Charlie ..... I'll be watching !
  21. Yes with Dave Metzner's OK I was able to preview this early test shot of the 65 Comet Cyclone A/FX version we'll be getting at the Motorcity NNL today. There is no release date or packaging details yet. I will be showing much more of this model in future post so stay tuned .... Steve
  22. Finally getting a chance to show this 4dr conversion for the Moebius 65 Belvedere that I picked up at the recent Toledo NNL. The 4dr body has corrected vent widow openings, and the interior includes the proper bench seats, Belvedere I style door trim, low trim level dash and the 4dr package shelf. As you can see the body fits my in progress KSP Plymouth build up chassis and interior perfectly ! Here's a close up of the interior parts. I'm hoping they will offer the Dash separately and that I can talk them into doing a proper 2dr Belvedere I bench seats and door trim down the road. Some more photos of the 4dr body on my built up chassis ... Although tempted to keep going, I'm going to save the 4Dr body for a another project and I'm going to finish my KSP Plymouth 2Dr. I'll have an update on that project sooner or later ... -Steve
  23. Nothing new was tooled up for this kit until Round2 green lighted the project again about two years but I've been waiting almost nine years. Not counting the tires and decals I counted forty new individual parts added. According to Harry's post below it can be had for under $25.00 plus shipping. You'll have to decide for yourself if it was worth the wait and or price. -Steve
  24. Engine choices are the Max Wedge or the stock Commando 426, could pass for a 383 I suppose. The slant six parts were dropped from this issue to make way for Super Stock parts. These photos are from my "stock" Box Art build ups for the 2006 Model King release which to me was never a true factory stock model because of the bucket seats which weren't offered in the Belvedere to the best of my knowledge. Regardless I still consider these kits to be probably the best and most successful from Lindberg along with the 64 Dodges.
  25. As far as I know the divided scope matches what was used on the build up by Bill at Tom. I don't know it's original source. The other hood scoop was beyond the original proposal, it may match a different S/S Plymouth that could be a future release. -Steve
