There was definately no mention of them at I-Hobby Expo this year. Anybody know what the diplay models were made from last year? Did revell ever offer them as a diecast? Here's a photo from last year to refresh your memory. I'm not a big Donk fan but I sure believe Revell is missing the boat on this one by not doing at least the Cutlass in plastic. -Steve

The first Qtr of '09 if everything goes as planned. -Steve

The Graveyard series kits come with a printed back drop and instructional DVD video with tips and techniques. I agree, they're a very cool idea. Rich Melillo did these, if you have any qestions you can contact him on his website. Richard Melillo's The Modelers Art -Steve

I'm a scale bigot myself, prefering 1/25th over everything else. Lindberg swears the Charger is 1/24th but it's smaller then the Crown Vic and bigger then Revell's Impala which looks about right to me. So if the Charger isn't 1/25th scale, the difference isn't noticeable enough to be out of place in my opinion. -Steve

I agree, all 8 light bars and the Charger in one kit. Either way you look at you've got a bonus. On the other hand, all those vintage Chevy's are 1/32nd scale, sorry ! Steve

Bud may be right about it being diecast but that brings two questions to mind, what's it doing on shelf surrounded by plastic models ? When did Autoworld get into the 1/24th scale diecast business? I thought they only had the 1/18th scale American Muscle line. I say we get Gregg back over to I-Hobby Expo and demand answers from Tom Lowe, I imagine it would go something like the courtroom scene from a "Few Good Men". (Gregg has the part of Kaffe; Tom Lowe is Col. Jessep) Col. Jessep: You want answers? Kaffee: I think I'm entitled. Col. Jessep: *You want answers?* Kaffee: *I want the truth!* Col. Jessep: *You can't handle the truth!* Apparently I've seen way too many movies .....

I don't mind at all, thanks for posting it Bob. Here's some photos of them. I've been promised a test shot in the near future but they are deffinately based on the same tool as the Super Bee kit. Not only do we get a plastic kit Charger Police car but 6 all new light bars. Besides the current Code 3 MX 7000 and Vector V-bar, Lindberg added the Code 3 360 and Javelin, Federal Signal Arjent, Tomar Blade, Whelen Edge Ultra and Patriot LED bars. All 8 will be included in the undecorated kit !!!! -Steve

This was sitting in the display case next to the new tool Challenger promo's and Curbside kits. Did I miss an anouncement on a new tool F/C car kit ??? I meant to ask John G. about it but I forgot. It looks like a new Impala SS Funny car body ..... Oh Gregg buddy ... do you have any details to share ?

I'm still waiting to get my hands on a promised test shot of the Lindberg Charger Police Car, I'll be able to have an answer on the wheels soon as I get it. To add to the confusion, all the Testors Diecast Chargers and the Testors and Lindberg Charger plastic kits are all based off the same CAD designs. A few parts will even interchange like the D.C. police car grille fits the Super Bee kit perfectly. If you check the chassis between the D.C. and any of the plastic kits you see what I mean. -Steve

.... for those who attended Thursday they may missed a few item's that I brought in very early on Friday including the 1/8th scale Competition Coupe Dragster. James Tester and I also each built a '61 Lindberg Impala for display, I did the Hardtop and James did the Convertible. James also built a '64 Belvedere for display as well. Thanks again James !!! The L700 with Flat bed trailer and crushed car load is still coming. Apparently tooling up those crushed cars is harder then expected but it will get done. Tim Alhborn's L700 Skelly Tanker was on display along with my L700 Yellow and Chrome Tanker version. If your a Police Car fan like me I'm sure your happy to here about the New Charger Police car kits based on the Super Bee kit. You may have missed the 6 all new light bars. There's a lot more photos at my Fotki Album but some of my photos are blurry especially in the Revell booth for some reason. I was hoping for more from them but still a great show this year. -Steve I-Hobby Expo 2008 photos

I'll see ya there when the doors open Sat. morning. What do you need money for? Don't you have a bet going with Gregg? -Steve -
That's much better !!! Hopefully this will inspire me to try a couple of 4 dr conversions that I've been considering. -Steve

I-hobby expo is coming in a few weeks, my guess is we'll have an answer then. The rumour I heard as that the Olds was being revised into a 2n1 but I've yet to confirm that from any reliable source yet. Stay tuned .... Steve

Looking good !!! I hope you bring it to the next NCAM meeting -Steve

Jay, They were available only online direct from Dodge, the deadline to order was like 8/24. They now only have the diecast. If you search the board of that "other" magazine under "what's new" you can find a preview pic and possibly the original link to order, that is if it's still works. Don't worry I'm sure there will be more offered later. -Steve
-
I think the Dealer Promo's will be out first. I have one on order and it's supposed to be shipped late Oct. -Steve

Working (not posable) Steering
SteveG replied to torinobradley's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
If anyone remembers those MicroSizers R/C cars from a few years back, they had the tiniest motors in them that were removable. I think Radio shack sold them as Zipzaps or something like that too. I thought they would be perfect to make 1/25th scale power window motors. with four frequencies you could have four remote control windows. I never did figure out how to make working 1/25th scale window switches though .... -Steve -

Is that the same body you had in the purple pond a week or so ago? If it is, nice save !!! -Steve -
I jst got my samples from Hawk - Lindberg today. Here's some photos of the Flat Head V8 kit and contents, the box says 1/6th scale. I think the other adv. was wrong. For some close up shot's of the parts check out the link below, the photos are at the bottom of the page. Lindberg Flat Head V8 photos It looks like a fun little project, I'll try build it up in the next few days. -Steve

Not edited.... In your shoes I usually go with the temporary Dislexia or I forgot my glasses excuse but thats me.

Any Pontiac Drag Racing historians Here?
SteveG replied to SteveG's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanks Dave I really appreciate it. BTW, the car still exsts today and is under full restoration. Even the current owner can't locate photos of it in its original racing glory. Here's what it looked like before the restoration started. It's truly remarkable how well it survived. It's vitually rust free ... -Steve -
..... straight re-issues of the "Color Me Gone", "Ramchargers" and "Maverick" 64 Dodge Sedans. Also the 1/8th Hot Canary "T" and 1/12th Fiat Dragster Plus the 1/6th Ford Flat Head V8 which is an all new tool available as a kit or pre-assembled. The recent tool Dodge Monster Trucks are also being re-issued with Weird-ohs graphics. I'm expecting samples of the Fiat Dragster and the Ford Flat Head V8 later this week. I can post photos if there's any interest. -Steve
