  1. Great website. I really like the 73 Olds.
  2. Very nicely done, I've always liked Roth's kustoms.
  3. Great stuff, especially like those kustoms. Thanks for sharing.

    32 Ford's

Very impressive builds. Here's two of mine, both built from the Revell kit.
  5. Thanks everyone for your kind words. As requested, here's the Mercury's engine. Nothing special, just some wiring and hoses.
  6. Thanks for the kind words. Midnightprowler, the center GTO is painted with Testors enamel Blue Angels Blue over grey primer.
  7. Built from the AMT kit, and painted with House of Kolors Pavo Purple.
  8. I built these some time ago, all from the ancient AMT kit.
  9. Very nicely done new Camaro. I tried to build this snap kit and ran into trouble getting the interior to fit into the body. Nothing I did would allow the interior to fit, and I was wondering if you (or anyone else) experienced this issue. Something was preventing the interior from going up into the body, but I never did figure out exactly what.
  10. I got a very close match to Tahoe Turquoise using the following formula and Testors enamel paints: Tahoe Turquoise Poly – (1968) 25% French Blue and 75% Pontiac Engine Blue, additionally, add a few drops of Turquoise. (This color is actually closer to a blue than a turquoise)
  11. Excellent restoration, beautiful build. I sure wish I would have bought a bunch of these way back when. This kit is one of my grails.
  12. And a great intro it is. Great looking builds, you made that GTO look super.
  13. Another very well done replica. I really like this.
  14. Really nice conversion Jeff. Very well done. I love a Chevelle convertible. I painted this Revell kit with House of Kolors Orange Pearl, Black Pearl flames and Lime Time Pearl edges. it's now completed, I just haven't taken photos yet of the completed kit.
  15. Wow, some excellent builds posted here. This one was built from the Revell snap kit, airbrushed Testors Italian Red over Testors Steel. Hope it doesn't get lost among these fine builds.
  16. Excellent builds, great decal work.
  17. Thanks for the kind words, Lee. I don't have any more of the air cleaner your looking for, but if this helps, it came from the AMT Baldwin-Motion Camaro kit.
  18. One of my favorite kits, Revell's 67 Chevelle. Paint is Testors Bug Yellow (no longer available) decanted from the spray can, and airbrushed, then 3 coats of airbrushed Testors Boyd's clear enamel, and polished out. I lowered the suspension and used the wheels and tires from another Revell kit, but I can't remember which one. The first two backgrounds are from an old calendar.
  19. Mark, I was at the Hobby Stop maybe 3 months ago. I got one kit and a couple cans of Tamiya TS-13 clear. The cans had a nice layer of dust on them, so I know they'd been there a while. All the kits had been there since the last time I went there (6 months), except for the Revell 69 Camaro snap kit which I bought. They have only one small section for plastic model cars now, BMF is old stuff, and I saw no aftermarket parts anywhere. When I asked about decals and aftermarket stuff, they looked at me as though I had 2 heads on my shoulders. Maybe ownership changed hands. It's basically all R/C now. Someone else mentioned John's Toy & Hobby, but I don't get to Gastonia often. It's easier just to mail order instead of driving all over. I appreciate the heads up about John's though.

    The Joker

Incredible work, gorgeous paint, let me add my wow to this one.

    '71 GTX

Really nice, I like the color and vinyl roof, well done.
  22. Actually Mark, my wife and I moved up here from Florida 3 years ago, so this kit came with us from S.Fl. About the only thing I can get at the Hobby Stop is a few cans of Tamiya Lacquer, and once in a great while a kit. They don't stock a whole lot for us model car guys, it's mostly R/C, and usually they get the latest kits 6 months or more after they are released. I mostly have to mail order kits and supplies these days, since there's no decent hobby shop close by us. I was aware this kit was a sort of hybrid, but I call the finished model a 68.
  23. Harry, it's not necessarily a problem at the user's end, as most people assume. Many web sites, especially message boards can be extremely slow, no matter how new or fast one's computer may be. I've noticed another message board I belong to that uses I.P. Board software is also extremely slow, yet, other message boards that don't use I.P. Board software zip right along.
  24. Bob, I have an Intel 2.2 Ghz processor, 2 gigs of RAM, WinXP SP3, and I update regularly. Of course, I can't Log In without activating cookies, so I have cookies activated. I'm very computer savvy and clean up my disk and cache regularly also. Thanks for your response.
  25. I'm not sure this is the correct forum to ask, but why is this message board so slow? I'm using a fiber optic connection with 12mps download and 6mps upload, yet it can take a full minute or longer to open one post for viewing. I'm not complaining, just wondering why the board takes so long to open a post for viewing. I was excited when I first joined the board as a welcome relief from the other model car message boards that seem to be populated by immature people, but I don't post nearly as much as I had hoped to because it seems to take so long to accomplish anything. I've checked all my settings, and can find no issues on my end, not to mention this seems to be the only website where this slow response/performance occurs. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to how to speed things up.
