  1. Very impressive build. I like it a lot, especially the color combination.
  2. I started off many years ago with a Badger 350. Bought it in 1979 and used it until I bought a Paasche model H in 1982. Been using that same Paasche ever since, my favorite airbrush. Like Snake, I have a couple others but find using the Paasche H model is my favorite. It's dependable and easy to use and clean as well. Selecting an airbrush is usually a personal preference, but if you like the Badger, nothing wrong with sticking with it. But if you're interested in moving up to another airbrush, take a look at the Paasche model H.
  3. Great restoration. I actually owned one of these in high school, way back...when. Built like a tank.
  4. Glad I checked out this thread, good information here, thanks to all. I just found out today there's an Ollie's opening right down the street from me on 10/29/2014.
  5. I agree with Steve. If it's a small spot, you can try using a Q-tip with a little Novus #2 (or equivalent) polish and work out the glue smear with gentle polishing. I've successfully managed to polish out a small super glue smear using this technique. It might work with regular styrene glue smears also.
  6. Scott, The roadster, which is the 2015 model, will be in Velocity Yellow with a black interior. The coupe, the 2014 model, will be Laguna Blue with a black interior. I've been buying from Bob's Promotionals for well over 15 years now. His price for these two is $35.00 each. Need any additional information if I can help, just shoot me an email. Word is, a 1957 Corvette model promo will be issued some time very late this year or early next year. These collectible promos have a tendency to get delayed regularly, or in some cases, announced but never manufactured. A 57 Vette would be very cool. http://www.bobspromotionalcars.com
  7. I'm eagerly awaiting both the promos and the snap kit. Seems like each new generation of snap kits get better and better (excepting the Revell 2015 Mustang which is geared toward children). The Revell Mustang is still an enjoyable kit for me though.
  8. Scott, latest info. I have from the promo dealer I buy from is that the promos are delayed yet again until late Nov. I believe there's a coupe and roadster coming.
  9. One of the best videos I've seen in months. That was very cool, thanks for that.
  10. Nice flame job. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Wow, that yellow really pops. Nice build.
  12. Nice color selection, the flames look great on the black. Gotta love a lead sled with flames.
  13. I love a kool lead sled, and this is very kool. Nice color choice and great flames.
  14. I'm old enough to remember when all of the kits posted were first issued. Wish I would have purchased some of these way back when, especially the King T and Wild Dream.

I like it. Nothing like an old school lead sled in primer.
  16. I love old promos. You did a great job refreshing this one.
  17. Very nice build. I'm amazed at the variations others keep coming up with for this kit.
  18. Very nice. You've honored your friend and that's very special.
  19. Very nice build. One of my favorite Tamiya colors.
  20. Always liked this car. Very nice build, all Ferrari's seem to look good in red.
  21. My photo set up is a Smith-Victor Corp. model #KT 750 tungsten photo flood lighting kit. I usually use 3 lights, 250 watts each, along with attached diffusers on the front of the light reflectors. Sometimes, I add a 4th 250 watt light for dark colors, and mount it directly above the model. I user a folding card table to mount my background, and adjust the lights on their stands for the effect(s) I want. I don't know if this kit is still available, as I've owned it for around 7 years, but you should be able to locate something similar. The first image is the kit: The second image is the plastic diffusers I use:
  22. Very nice, very sinister looking, beautiful smooth paint. I really like everything about this build. I love these JADA kits and wish they'd do more in plastic.
  23. Very nostalgic build, well done, sure brings back memories from my early modeling years.
  24. Dang Marc, that's beautiful. All your builds are superbly done.
  25. I like the "new" Hi Impact colors, but I agree about the pink color, needs some stripes in white or black.
