Rt-66 Cruisin' Reunion - A Model Car Show (Saturday Only) and a 3-day cruisin car show! 3rd Annual Model Car Contest September 19, 2015 10:00am to 2:00pm – Awards @ 3:30pm Ontario Senior Center - Located at 225 East B Street, Ontario, Ca. Entry is $10.00 Per person - limited to 12 entries per builder (Kids - ages 12 and younger are free) Classes - Drag Race - Trucks - Custom - Street Machine - Low Rider (Mild) - Low Rider (Wild) - Competition - Curbside - Hot Rod/Street Rod - Motorcycle - Looks Good in Suede - Miscellaneous - Juniors - Best of Show This is the also the fourth and final stop for the “Golden Age of Kustoms” painting contest. This show will be critically judged. The Judges will not handle the entries. If there is special detail to the chassis of the entry you may place it on a mirror base. Ok, all. Just got the news, Looks like we are going to be able to have some vendors this year. Anyone interested can PM me. Yeah, we are trying for vendors this year. As you might imagine there are a lot of people that have to give their blessing when part of a big car show like this one. Will post an update as soon as possible and a flyer is coming soon.

Okay everyone, Just got the news so save the date, September 19th 2015, the show is on and we have the Senior Center again. More to come soon.

There is a group in Riverside, and one in Temecula/Meniffee. Both meet on Saturdays. PM me if you want more info. Lots of events coming up as well.

Well, the builder formally known as "Back Seat Bob" and I got back late last night, and now that I'm rested up a bit I wanted to take a minute to Thank all those involved in the show. I've been going to this show for several years now and have yet to come back disappointed. Dan, Bernie, and everyone else in the Cactus Car Modelers and Moonlight Modelers have made us feel like family. For those who have wanted to attend, and haven't yet, you are missing out one one good time. It was great seeing some of the friends I've made there. Brad, Chris, Johnny Southside, Art, Paul, Had fun at breakfast. See you guys next year (if not sooner).

Organizing committee meetings haven't started yet, but last word was "yes", there will be a model show. I will post updates as soon as I get them.

Just a week away now. The show will be on January 23-25, 2015. Car Show Hours are Friday - 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm, Saturday - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Sunday - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Contest hours for Sunday are slightly different as noted below) Entries can be brought in beginning Friday and up to 12:00 noon on Sunday, awards presented @ 3:00 pm. If entries are brought in on Friday, or Saturday, a pass will be provided to the builder for show entry on Sunday for the awards and to pick up the entries (the pass for Sunday DOES NOT include parking). Classes - Hot Rod/Street Rod Drag Race Drag Race (Door Slammers) Custom Street Machine Low Rider Competition Box Stock (MUST include instruction sheet) Curbside Looks Good in Suede Trucks Motorcycles Miscellaneous Juniors (ages 15 and under) Sorry, but due to space limitations, No dioramas Please. Model Cars Magazine is scheduled to come out and shoot the show. All entries must be picked up at the end of the award presentation. This show pulls 250 plus entries every year, show show up early and get your entries on the tables. The Model Contest is free to enter with your paid entry to the Grand National Roadster Show. It's actually a 1:1 show (7 buildings worth not counting the outdoor show on Saturday and Sunday), but the model contest draws in the range of 250 +/- entries typically. Here is a link - http://www.rodshows.com/ More info will be posted here before too long.

Good show yesterday, I for one, had a good time. Saw some folks I haven't seen in a while. I'm sure someone will chime in with the exact count, but whatever it was, it was a real good showing for a new show. the builds on the tables were fantastic. Hopefully someone will post pics. And to the organizers, Great Job! Hope they do it again.
