  1. Very, very nice in all areas. Did the open grille come that way in the kit?
  2. Why not create the whole thing on your computer and print it out to scale on decal paper?
  3. Maybe I should read my own signature quote.
  4. What on earth is so appealing about this?
  5. He says he wants to do an Arnie Beswick, so here's a white one I listed above: http://www.carcraft.com/featuredvehicles/ccrp_0806_1962_pontiac_catalina/photo_12.html And here's a blue 1:18 diecast version: http://www.diecastfast.com/diecast/DCF/PROD/MIC-PONCHO What IS there about people being so unresourceful as to ask forum members to do their research for them? Google could not be simpler. Do your own research first, then ask the forum if you can't find the answer. It took me 30 seconds to answer your question, which you could have done yourself.
  6. Here's a blue interior and other detail shots. Simple enough when you check Google images. http://www.carcraft.com/featuredvehicles/ccrp_0806_1962_pontiac_catalina/photo_12.html
  7. Something about the seat back and the overall shininess tells me it's a model. Plus, the radiator looks like it's been detailed with a wash.
  8. Kitty came along to lighten up the late unpleasantness. Who knows what's next?
  9. I have no interest in Mopar stuff, but this is a great piece of work. One thing I particularly appreciate is your attention to detail in putting in the black rubber seals on the windshield – something almost everybody overlooks. Wonderful job!
  10. Your paintwork on the body looks very, very nice. I would agree with Scale-Master about the use of masking tape, however, and add that this is especially important when it comes to painting the chrome trim to make the edges sharp and precise. Get that perfected, and the next step is using Alclad or Bare-Metal foil. (Those who can't do, teach. In this case, that's me.)
  11. What silver paint did you use?
  12. Is this the Schwimmer collection? They have the Rolls Phantom II that Revell made a 1/16 kit from.
  13. Very Imprezive.
  14. Why don't I see pictures in the original post? I can see the code in this window as I reply.
  15. I'm with Peter and I agree with this post. This is quite an accomplishment as an overall work, though I think the artistry could be at a higher level (just sayin'). I might add that I have LESS THAN ZERO interest in rods, customs, low-riders, etc., but I see some amazingly creative and inspiring work at MCM on those subjects. And anyone who sees Peter's work can understand why he is impressed – as am I – with this sort of originality.
  16. Hey, this would make a great Mitsuoka Viewt.
  17. The last I saw, that kit typically goes for sky-high prices.
  18. Yes, that's a very nice kit that goes together quite easily with excellent results. My only real quibble is that the engine-turned surfaces such as the firewall and dash need to be toned down quite a bit. As for the very first post mentioning the Lindberg kits, caveat emptor - many of those are reissued Pyro disasters.
  19. Appears so. Here's a recent photo, which should show the inaccuracies: Scroll to nearly the bottom of the page. http://sfaroc.tripod.com/archives/id26.html
  20. I don't recall a Monogram coupe version of the 540K, but Jo-Han did a 500k coupe that I have factory photos of. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23030 There were some 1:1 540K coupes from the factory, however. http://www.germancarforum.com/older-mbs-vintage/5327-1936-mercedes-benz-540k.html Of course, Monogram isn't the only brand with nice 30s luxury cars – you can find quite a few European cars from Heller and some from Italeri on eBay. And there are a number of good 1/16 options that have been issued under a variety of labels such as Minicraft, Entex, Anmark, Revell and others.
  21. Okay, just went there and nothing makes an ounce of sense to me. Is there a manual for how to use this?
  22. I can haz more bunny?
  23. Just a side issue – I changed my avatar specifically for this thread and, as it turns out, any change in your avatar or signature reverts to everything you ever posted. Odd.
