  4. Not only is that Olds a kit I didn't know about, it's one I wish I didn't know about.
  5. You probably won't find two 50T Bugattis with the same interior, but they usually had very thin padding, some with a chrome or leather grab rail running across the top of the seat back. This particular kit would be accurate with many different executions -- tilting back, flat or pleated leather, etc.
  6. I like the seat color, and I would add that the seats are shaped pretty much like the real Bugattis-- sort of a flat, one-piece cascading slope, like a park bench.

  16. Many thanks for the kind words, Cato, but my knowledge and references are limited to a few classics. You'll find far more expertise for a wealth of classics among members like Art, Harry and many others. PS...I no longer have the link to the 1/8 Gullwing kit.
  17. The plaid gabardine fabric goes way back in Mercedes history, even before WWII, and appeared on some examples of the 500K and 540K (brown and tan). It was a characteristic part of postwar Mercedes racing livery, such as on the SLRs (including Moss's SLRs, usually in the blue plaid), but Mercedes also offered Gullwings with green, red, and a Scottish tartan green and red, among custom choices.
  18. Cato sent me a link to a video of that kit. It's astonishing, but I'd have to sell my car to pay for it. I made an accurate plaid pattern to print out on inkjet fabric, which you're welcome to use. Correct scale would be 10 alternating stripes across the seat cushion. Actual colors varied a bit, but it's easy to adjust in graphics programs. I have just about all the reference material you'd need for a Gullwing, so feel free to contact me if I can help. Of course, you probably have easy access to real Gullwings in Germany, especially at the Mercedes Classics Center. Here's a link to just a few items in Photobucket.   19. Spectacular, of course. Pocher builders get totally involved in the mechanical aspects of the kits. All well and good, and totally awe-inspiring. Most of the rest of us are interested in what the model will look like at the finish -- the body, the interior, etc. What color scheme do you have in mind?
  20. There are substantial differences between the real cars, and both kits look to have somewhat simplified space frames, though nicely done.
  21. Bugatti colors depended mostly on the nationality of those who raced them in Grand Prix, many of whom were independent privateers.
