That Tomy 1/32 kit looks spectacular. One of the best I've seen. -
I think that's hand painted and not a font. All the letterforms are different.

Beautiful work. What brand is the vintage burgundy?

Can you give me a direct link where I can preorder online? Search isn't working for me. -
Defective Round Two kits

It's an old kit, but I made the request when RoG reissued the kit 2-3 years ago. as I said, I offered to pay. -
Defective Round Two kits

I was given a 1/16 kit of a Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental. The guy had evidently used the wheels for another kit, so I contacted Revell to see if I could buy new sprues. They told me to buy a new kit (over $100). . -
Wow, that's terrific from any aspect of judgment.

Suggestion about works in progress postings
sjordan2 replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you look at a later post of mine, you'll see that I acknowledged that finished or not, it is valuable to follow a WIP thread to see how things go and what others may say. My original post was based on frustration from following build threads for long periods of time, only to see them abandoned, with lack of closure. -

Thanks, Geoff. Lots of variations in these kits. I wonder why the box art photo of the Heller in Christian's post doesn't show the turn signals (among painting mistakes). I see that the Heller body shell in your photo indicates the need to deal with a separate front body valance at the bottom, requiring seam work, and the trunk is molded shut. The AMT, on the other hand, has a molded-on valance and all opening parts, including the trunk. There's more to find out about the Heller for comparison's sake. -

That looks a bit odd, with nonstandard fog lights and no turn signal lights. -
EDIT...This is on Yahoo! Sports, "Deflate-Gate Stats Spats"

If anyone has pictures of a built Heller kit it would be easier to judge. I couldn't find any on Google. -
I can't find the article again, but I just read an article about a statistician (from Las Vegas, so proceed with caution) who traced events back to around 2006, when Brady and Manning successfully lobbied the NFL to let offensive teams use their own balls. Almost immediately, the Patriots' fumble rate fell about 30 percent and has remained among the lowest in the game, if not the lowest of all. Others have taken issue with that, but a news story today quotes Joe Montana as saying that whoever actually deflated the balls, he has no doubt that Brady caused it to happen. He went on to add that it's a dumb rule anyway.

Nice job. Reminds me of the John Fitch Bonneville speed test car.

As I understand it, the 1/16 Minicraft is a difficult kit to build, but as I look at mine and compare it to others, it's got a very accurate body shape molded all in one piece without separate front and rear body valances, plus a complete space frame, making body mounting a problem. There is not a single Gullwing kit without problems, and all of them suffer from poor door fit. The 1/16 Italeri has many accuracy problems and even worse door fit. -

I won't be too negative at the moment because I see some fabulous touches here after looking at the new images, but it seems that the trunk is molded shut. That won't keep me from buying it, but it sure seems like a major omission considering all the detail that's been put into this. There are a lot of details inside the 1:1 trunk that add to the unique elements of this car. -
Yes, some do, some restore them, some are rivet-counting dilettantes and some are research geeks like me. Be sure to visit the historic archive by the Bugatti Trust, plus the Models section with a discussion on building the Bburago T59 kit.

While the luggage goes just behind the seats, it's true that the kit images show everything opening except the trunk. -

1. The trunk opens and contains a spare tire, etc.. 2 The rear deck area behind the seats is designed to hold a pair of suitcases and has a rail along the perimeter to tie down the luggage. -

I'm not prepared to comment about what is or isn't in the kit until I have one in my hands and it's hard to tell from these images. Radio? I don't know. But it looks there are metal scripts for the trunk and driver side. I'll have to go back and look...is there a 300 SL script for the dash? Rudge wheels? All you need is knockoff spinners from the AMT kit, though the slot pattern would be more like factory racing wheels than a real Rudge design. -

Spent a while poring over the images. Parts fit will tell the rest of the story, but as a collector of all things Gullwing and from what I can see, this looks like the definitive Gullwing kit in any scale. The detail looks amazingly complete and accurate, with elements not seen on any other version. Now if they'd just do this in 1/12.... -
I think you can import and resize/adjust in Microsoft Word, but I haven't done it.

I don't know what graphics programs you have, but you can make adjustments in Photobucket or others. I'm on Mac and use Quark XPress, so I can't be of help to Windows users. The most basic workaround I can think of is to use a hard finish laser paper or photo paper, take the art above and experiment with printing it out in different sizes like 50% or smaller (you can use cheaper paper for experimenting with size). Cover it with adhesive clear laminate and it should work, especially since your dashboard is totally flat. I invite others to give you a better tutorial.
