  1. You should see his shelf.
  2. Unbelievable. Totally museum quality.
  3. Greetings from a former Tulsa boy. Very, very nice -- the wood is terrific, along with the rest of the detail work.
  4. Unlike other racing series, there has not been a death in Forumla 1 racing since Senna in 1994. This is amazing, considering that F1 drivers race in the rain, over hills, through city streets, on country roads, through incredible switchbacks and esses. The typhoon that caused the early ending of the race is rare in F1. This may be the worst accident in years.
  5. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. What did you use for the chrome trim?
  6. uhhh...well, Karsten, you've topped yourself. Unbelievable paint -- looks like polyurethane -- please dicuss the details.
  7. Well, Christian, you certainly got my attention with new toolings of the Ferrari and Gullwing. But Betty Page would be better if she were 1:1 inflatable.
  8. We seem to have a lot of comments being made about recalls from people who have not read the earlier posts here. Of course all auto manufacturers and thousands of companies in all kinds of industries have recalls. But few of these companies have concerns like GM's ignition switch problems: "There are 19 acknowledged deaths based on the GM ignition failure (not Corvette) and 125 more wrongful death claims. Whatever you think, this stuff is serious." If this is the result of GM's corporate incompetence over a span of years, they should not only be "demonized" but held criminally responsible.
  9. 1995 Chrysler Atlantic tribute to 1938 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic. 1999 Dodge Charger -- even though it's 4 doors, this is the Charger that should have been. Very Viperish and still looks good.
  10. I can't make it out very well...looks like it has different dimensions from this
  11. Awesome. Are you going to put a Rolls ID plate at the top?
  12. Car details (I'm guessing it's a Packard)? And what's up with the top?
  13. Outstanding. I wish the images were larger.
  14. If a kit is all plastic but only the body is metal, does that means it has to be posted in this section?

    1964 GTO

Beautiful paint and body work, I wish you had a sharper image of the engine. But the ride height just looks really wrong, as others have said.
  16. This thread would be very much enhanced with images of the models in question.
  17. Man, you're fast. You just got this kit a few days ago. I don't ever see anyone being so good, so quickly
  18. Looks great to me. I'd love to see more close-ups of the car and less of the background, though it makes for very nice shots.
  19. Last year, I finally got a flat-screen 40" Sony HD TV to replace my old 27" Sony CRT TV. So I've been watching a lot of movies from my collection several times, and it's a complete revelation about many movies. Anything I ever watched before, I'm watching again with a new perspective.
  20. The sad part for those who want an Auburn boattail speedster is that you you can only get a Mint-issued diecast if you want one on your shelf. The Pyro/Lindberg version defies the finest craftsmanship. I've seen some beautiful work on those kits, but they're a far cry from accuracy.
  21. Very nice job. But I think our members who have dial-up Internet would appreciate fewer pictures that are so much alike, and so would I. Too many similar shots.
  22. Does the other mag show up to cover it for their publication (not that it really makes a difference)?
  23. I only see 7 kit manufacturers listed there, and not Revell. Will that be enough to lure Harry from his "no shows" cocoon in Chicagoland?
  24. The unusual metallic finish on the top looks kind of modelly, but that's a very professional lighting set-up on the car, so I'll say real.
  25. Basically, he did a beautiful job while fixing only 2 of multiple problems: Wheel well radius and nose. Nice job. But he left the most obvious problems that never existed on the 1:1 -- a strange square hump on the hood, wildly inaccurate and overlong rear fenders, crazy bad roofline and windshield, lack of proper Kamm tail...etc. Not enough photos to see whatever else he didn't fix, like ludicrous Campagnolo wheels (not the beautiful Borranis shown on the 1:1 car on the box top). I did my due diligence on this 1:1 car and the Revell kit (unfortunately, I bought a few kits before I really checked it out), and I invite you to rely on Google to see what I'm talking about. Hawk312 talked about his issues with the Mustang, but that looks like a Wingrove compared to this poor example of a Barbie car.
