  1. They have been slammed since they announced the closing....was about two weeks.......now depends on what you order and if it is in stock. No real way to tel now.
  2. One of my all time favorites too....... I have a bunch of AG stuff.......including a first day lobby poster.....
  3. I like paper as a media and build a number of paper kits........but mine are all structure kits for my model railroad.
  4. Correct Ira........the build was destroyed when a shelf collapsed years ago....I had to save this little part as it was the start. I plan to build it again....... Thanks for your years of work shared.
  5. 1/16 scale Duke's are in stock now too if anyone wants one....
  6. Nice Lookin' Build there Dave, but that Poor Girl looks like she just got hit with a Cattle Prod! Why do you think they were parked in the very dark lot????? Great personality though......
  7. I kinda like it on the truck chassis.......reminds me of the 'People Eaters' car in Fury Road.
  8. Correct....forgot that one.......such an odd pick......wish they had picked a more popular.......the 55 Chevy would have been cool.
  9. As for plastic kits. MPC Milner's 32 fair at best That is it as far as AG plastic kits. Revell did Milners 32, Bob's 55 and the white T-Bird in die cast 1/25 scale. There are others available in other scales by different manufactures including Revell in 1/64 that had 1/25 figure included. As for making your own.....a few easy....some not so much..... I believe Revell had plans for a 58 Chevy of Toad but canceled it. We ended up with the kit later in plastic. Here is my version of what could have been.... The 55 Chevy is easy with the AMT 55 post kit and a few extra parts. The lowrider Merc is harder as it's a 51.....but we have the basics. LOTS of other star cars can be done...... My version of the T-bucket Milner is seen talking to the driver while the cars are cruising the main street.......while the T-bucket girlfriend sits bored.....
  10. CURRENT issue has a slick top....older issues vinyl top. Never lowered one.....but can't be much different than any other kit.
  11. If you feel it will become an issue someday....I'd attach the wheels with a drop of epoxy that will weld the entire assembly into one unit. I don't see it as an issue....but I ain't built a production kit yet. There is a reason for the rear axle molded as a unit......someday we'll know I am sure..... Thanks!
  12. As stated....never seen when built. It has to be done this way when all the parts are molded together like this. SUPER simple fix is putty or strip plastic and glue. Should be within any modelers skill level.
  13. Moonscope, and later...the Space 1999 Alien Lunar Rover While true it started as a Moonscope kit.......it was a IRA article on kit bashing it.......thought Ira might chime in!!!
  14. Best AMC V-8 was to me the unit in the AMT Matador. Pretty easy to find....the Gremlin kit about the same. For a Marlin stock car not sure that motor is 'correct' for it. But a NASCAR Marlin is so rare I can't say for sure.
  15. 1953 for sure........ I did all the NASCAR decal art for the Moebius Hidson kits and I did a number of other cars of the era too...... I have the 54 Mundy decals coming. My Mundy '53 Thanks
  16. Very nice neat clean work!!!! But that is a 53 Hudson....Franks 54 was white body color. Thanks
  17. Congrats on the win with your model Ira!!!! I have said in the past you kinda started my kitbashing career back in the Car Model mag days with this model....or what is left of the 1960's era build. I know you can tell what it was.......any one else here old enough to know what this is/was??? Thanks for years of fun!!!
  18. Cool concept..... While not a DTM type....more a old school Trans Am racer I did this as soon as that Revell kit hit....
  19. When I saw the box art a while back I thought of 'Cool Hand' right off!!!!! That was the first movie that wasn't a kids movie I ever saw. My buddy's mom dropped us off to see something else, kid type, and we decided to see Luke. We were 9.....I remember the car wash for sure!
  20. I lived in Paris for two years and would be there still if I could have found a way to pay for it. When did your wife's family own these cars? I'm especially curious about the Mercury because a Simca Vedette would have looked much like a Mercury of that vintage. She was there from 1958 until 1963 IIRC...... Her Dad was military from WWII and just continued on in Paris. She has duel citizenship as if you are born in France you are French....but her folks being US citizens....USA claims too!!! They had a 54 full size Mercury. Her Dad bought it from a fellow service man returning to the USA. My father-in-law loves to tell stories about terrorizing the other French drivers with 'le monster'!!
  21. Very nice build!!!! I have one in stash to build..... My wife was born in Paris France and their family owned a 2CV and a 54 Mercury!!! talk about opposite ends of the spectrum!
