  1. I like, and own, the altered Magnum kit. It is much 'cooler' than the stock version and not some horrible thing that was done to a stock kit you could buy off the close out shelf for 99 cents. (I had it too) Sure....if the stock kit was reissued I'd buy 2-3 of them for sure.......same for the Magnum kit too though......
  2. I get all kinds of 1/1 car stuff there. A palm size LED flashlight that was free w/coupon and $5 other items is one great item.I buy my car work rags and work gloves. 2 ton engine host we bought in 2004 has been used a lot and always works. Model wise not a ton of stuff....but some of their small tools are OK.
  3. My G4 came from Squadron online. They had a sale and then if you filled out a survey another 20% off. The T came from Amazon.
  4. All four kits shown share a chassis and engine. The bodies are slightly different to make them Plymouth or Dodges.
  5. Watch and wait......I got my 1/24 Mercedes G4 ICM kit shipped for 40. And the T can be found under $40 shipped.
  6. How about the Tonka fire truck kit??? It was 1/24 IIRC
  7. I got my ICM G4 Mercedes today a day early......I will make a new post as soon as I have time.....but very cool kit!!
  8. I don't think Dupli-color are any more OR less toxic than other paints.....treat them all with care. I use dupli-color primers under everything......get some gray #1699......you'll love it.
  9. I like the ambulance if it was 1/24. I ordered the 1/24 Mercedes G4 staff car.....should be here Sat.......anyone have or built it yet???
  10. Does look like them......like you say.....HOW!?
  11. Much prefer them flashed over......a note here on the issue covers it for a good number of the builders. thx
  12. This just came in todays mail. I love TV and Movie cars so I was happy when I opened the box. The kit is more detailed than I thought. Includes a simple engine but that is buried inside the body not seen again so no biggy. Detail is crisp and there is lots of it. A big vehicle that will scale out about 12 feet wide!!! Very cool!!!! More as soon as I have time!
  13. I see a few cool looking vans......you'll have to help translate the rest!
  14. CYA for the company........PROOF they carded in case someone in power challenges the store.....not as much a math issue. In WV a license issued to anyone under 21 years old is a different color so no math involved.
  15. Pretty sure that is older tooling that Revell USA has issued a number of times. IIRC it was gold colored on the box last time.
  16. BINGO!!!
  17. Think there has been some deadly crashes in NASCAR??? Add 600 volt batteries smashing together and spilling over the fans!! Go away Bill......please leave us alone. PS WILL NOT HAPPEN IN MY LIFE TIME.
  18. Many retailers have gone to a ID all policy to avoid losing their liquor license. The chain my son works for requires the last two digits of birthday or alcohol will not ring up. Ultimate CYA for the company.
  19. Best price after hunting was right at $80 usd delivered. Maybe someday.....but got a $12K house repair coming so not right now!!!
  20. WHY.....is this kit the same price as the new 1/12 Tamiya F1 Tyrrell kit??? The Tamiya has lots of new tooling, PE parts and twice the size?? I wanted the DS19 BAD but doubt I can justify the cost. New ICM 1/24 kits are in the low $30 range......they'll get my cash for now. I'll just watch you build.....
  21. The chrome tree was cloned for the Imperial kit by Model King. The kit was issued twice by Dave in two different boxes.
  22. The next 12-18 months should be interesting. With R2 in control of Hawk, Lindberg, Ertl, AMT and MPC (and this includes some IMC and other molds) imagine how long just inventoring the molds alone!! Also remeber kits like the AMT 34 Ford pick-up?? Lost for years only to be found at a tool maker. Inspecting and checking tooling is a very long and difficult process.....sit back and watch.
  23. IF by some odd chance R2 found those simple 1958 20 part annuals......I'll buy 2 or more each......but I am a nobody!!
  24. I have a Volks Van junker that the builder never glued the rear body half on so I can build Bus and Van.....Lug will not be tough either!
