  1. Everyone that is happy for the stock body 48 Ford can thank me!!!!!!! Why?? Because I just spent a good amount of time and money on old IMC 48 Ford kits, Revell Custom 48 Fords and doing a lot of planning on how to cut them up to make my newest 1/1 car!!!! So perfect timing to release a stock body 48.......you;re welcome!!! But is will be great to get the stock 48 body for this kit. I'll buy a few........along with the NASCAR Chevy's....happy the Revell kits are easy to strip......the Olds is cool.......good overall. Thx
  2. If that kit sells for $350......it wil be hard to keep mine!!!
  3. The wifes 'puppy' (9 months old Newfoundland) is 100 lbs and acts like a toddler.......no sense of how big.....or where....or any idea of what she is doing. A good guard dog for sure......but a huge lummox!!!
  4. I have one of those kits....bought when they were blowing them out. Grew up So Cal so kinda hit home. Also reminds me while sitting here in 4 degrees with 40 mph wind that I was in San Diego one year ago today visiting.......a VERY different day!!!
  5. I have gone almost 100% to Dupli-color #1699 sealer primer. A VERY thin gray with great coverage. 99.999% as good as Tamiya which says a lot as I buy it at my local big box store for $4 for the big can. DEAL!
  6. The 3D printed prototype was at Toledo NNL last Oct....looked cool....as a movie car fan...I have to have!
  7. Added media hype too........it's a hot topic with gotcha factor.
  8. This happened back in the 1980's at some time. That time it was a licensing stand off when Ferrari wanted too much $$$. Bet it something like that again......and when no one steps up to pay the fee.....things will cool off. But if it doesn't it COULD be a good thing.......tooling dollars will have to be spent elsewhere......which could benefit the hobby overall more than another red horse kit.
  9. Is there a UP top for a 1967 GTX.....or one close enough it can be modified??? Why?? THX!

  11. Thanks....... I used Tamiya flat white over all the body. I then masked the top and sprayed the body with Tamiya pearl and then clear. Came out decent effect I wanted.
  12. Very nice work. The wire wheels are a little thick but these Caddy's had some thick wires as they were really heavy cars and the wires were a lot heavier than a Ford wheel or the like. The overall look of yours is great. Here is a older Caddy I built. Love these big cars!
  13. I'd go more simple........I'd tool a 77-78 Thunderbird kit done in the style of Revell's 77 Monte Carlo. Curbside model with a few options in the tool to allow issue of a number of versions. Options in the tooling to allow a base model 77 to a top end car with T Tops. This would sell to replica stock, low rider, custom and NASCAR builders. I'd not loose money on it.
  14. Hmmmmm I want one.....but $23 model with $27 shipping is not going to work....I'll wait it out and see if someone brings them in. Thanks
  15. I want one too.......yet to find one stateside or a dealer with them in stock that will sell to USA...... If someone finds some...let us know!
  16. Great model work is great model work.......I love the subject great the work is even better.....
  17. Cool outside the box build!
  18. For mud caking on things.......try acrylic matte medium mixed with paint to make a mud you can apply in any thickness.
  19. I like it!!
  20. $2 for a chance at one billion.........just drink water in place of a Coke at lunch that day......come out even.
  21. THANKS for posting that!!!! It's a pretty decent B or independent film for that era......most you can't watch they're so bad......Kinda liked this one. Add to it a family connection of sorts.........Dad was Valvoline racing director for the west coast at the time this was filmed so all those Valvoline decals and hats came through his office at one time or another.......a far reach but it tripped some memories I have of helping Dad put together bags with Valvoline decals, a pocket protector and hat that we would hand out at events in So Cal. LOTS of model ideas in it too........ Dad's office in downtown LA early 1960's.....
  22. ME TOO!!!! Now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do Monday since I spent half of it already....
