That's what I refereed to in my post.......it was expensive and most failed after a number of years. Very complicated for sure! -

I just put them in my 1/1 1966 Mustang 2+2 project car......amazing as I remember when the Cougar first had them and the control box was like $700.....now with LED's and a VERY small PC board you have them for $75!! -
I know exactly how you feel!!!! Buying the AMT COT kits with Hendrick markings.....it almost killed me!!!!! (I worked in NASCAR licensing 1980's through 2000 so take my word) Any way.......just happy to see new NASCAR kits....even if they are based on rather old tooling....old in racing terms. The bodies are very well done and roll cage is decent. The chassis and exhaust are being reused from the older early 2000 kits.....which is VERY different than a COT Gen II chassis. BUT NASCAR racers are bodies......today under those bodies are almost 100% the same other than engine and those look more and more alike every day......these kits have no motors and avoid the issue completely. My biggest complaint is not the chassis as once built not much an issue........but stickers only is an issue. I am doing my own decals but I wish there were nice grille, headlight etc decals included. Thanks to Revell and Ford for trying something new at least.

Gofer Racing decals has some made for service vehicles. Model Round-up or direct from Gofer.

You and Terry Jessie are the only two brave enough to build this thing. I have a mint kit....and planned to build....but with what it is going for......hard to do now!! VERY nice work!

That EXACT car has not been kitted....but it could be build with some work and custom decals....

Also the swastika was around LONG before Hitler adopted it. Now putting it on a German car does kinda seem odd. -
I think there are still PEOPLE that can build things......I see plenty of them on a much smaller scale in the people in the 1/1 car hobby and folks that supply them. There are still a lot of guys that can MAKE fantastic items. They are as a group getting older but there are a number of younger guys picking up their skills. Is the corp structure there today.....that's another story.

I have that issue.....and the top/roof is on the body with instructions about how to chop it off!!!! So as Tim said......you can make your own now that the bed cover has been restored!!!! -
Seen it 3 times. 2 in 2D once 3D.........3D was a total waste for me. Film is a conversion and not shot 3D so not well done. 2D was great.....nice and clear...bright. 3D dark and blurred........IMHO

Took the wife this afternoon. 2nd time for the 2D version.....the 3D was not set up right, I say, and was a waste. Saw the first SW the first day...and every one since. Yes.....it's typical Holltwood fair but enjoyed it for what it is. Go home and put on the DVD of Hitchcocks 'Vertigo' or your favorite classic to clean up the brain!!! I had fun....wife enjoyed.....$10 worth in todays world. ($5 Tue here)
